I first listened to all 6 stages back during covid, and is still probably one of my favourite concept albums ever.
Very raw, with the ever noticing decline in cohesion to nothing but static is heart breaking, really gives off a feeling of losing and forgetting everything you've ever known.
And heart breaks is up there as my favourite piece in there. Depressing, desperate to hold onto fleeting memories and feeling helpless in the matter as you spiral. Also its a nice callback to the ... read more
couple of good songs, cannot say the same for the entire album.
Mostly sounded incredibly boring/uninteresting.
Like dayumm, Björk really outshone herself with this. The lyrics along with her voice are so serene. Songs like An echo, a stain and Harm of will gave a sense of being plunged deep in the ocean, which was great.
I would say each song here makes itself known and delivers on its own merit
This is something, the transitions between pieces are amazing. The record produces a feeling of mix of dread and hope, especially with the last few tracks.
Sleep is very much a standout in this
Kinda wished I enjoyed this more, aside from a select few tunes, the entire album felt rather bland despite how unique the sounds were.
Pretty funky album, I especially liked Crosseyed and Painless, and Listening Wind.
Other songs are either alright or just good.
Its just pretty mediocre, kinda wished Nico would've sang more of these songs as I do prefer her vocals.
Sunday Morning and Femme Fatale were good and the two closing tracks were just awful.
Music that warms the soul

The vocals straight up don't do it for me at all. The instrumentation composition is definitely worth noting, but i eventually just became really annoyed by the album as a whole. Doesn't help the fact that it is very long, the middle portion was pretty forgettable.
I feel like I desired more from this, there wasn't enough there for me to love it. Its probably worth revisiting, but perhaps not enough for me to actually try it again. Also, for a 40min album, the songs felt a bit long and dragged on for a while?
Stellar male vocals. I'd probably return to the album for a few songs, as other tracks didn't hit the same for me.
The epitome of overproduced.
It's impressive what they have done to create something like this, but it really feels like an mlg or brainrot edit with like 10,000 sound effects put in. With all these samples, it was often difficult to ever hear jane rap at times. Jane's rapping was also very unimpressive, so the inclusion of Danny Brown for Psychoboost was needed.
Its also very exhausting to listen to, doesn't help that it's about 50min long, so I was just hoping the album ... read more
Thought I would've liked this from Angel, the vocals and instrumentation are there and are amazing, but I feel like they don't blend as well as I could hear. Tonality was the main issue for me, but perhaps on a relisten I'll get it.
One of the best narratives/concepts for an album I've seen
Closer just sounds really funny lmfaoo
