What an album! It's hard to say anything that hasn't already been said. Great song after great song, and even though it has some less interesting tracks here and there, or songs that don't quite fit the tracklist, the overall flow isn't interrupted at all, making it a very enjoyable listen from start to finish. I do feel that disc 2 falls down a bit in quality, mainly in terms of consistency, but it still contains masterpieces like "Mother I Sober," which ... read more
The original Deftones. I'd never heard such an ethereal sound without losing that characteristic 90s heaviness; this album just does that perfectly. However, this does bring some problems, such as several songs sounding too similar and lacking much variation in structure and approach. But despite that, the uniqueness of its sound compared to other works from that era and similar movements, and its influence on big bands like the previous mentioned, demonstrate what a gem of an album it is. ... read more
Although I don't think it's a perfect album, due to aspects like the second half repeating previously executed ideas in less interesting ways in songs like "Another Love Song" or "Do It Again," the sound it has, how incredible each member of the band is in their own way, and the absolute rock anthems it contains make this undoubtedly one of the best rock albums of the 2000s. Personally, I find it a bit long towards the end, but that's just a personal thing. ... read more
The best live album I've ever heard and ever will hear. There are songs that never fail to make me cry because of how beautiful they are. The tracklist isn't perfect; it has some dub songs in the middle of disc 1 that don't add much, but they hardly affect the overall work and are so overshadowed by the greatness of the other tracks that follows them that I won't lower the score for it. It's difficult to say anything that hasn't already been said about this album, ... read more
The pinnacle of Ambient/Dream Pop. One of the most beautifully sounded albums I've ever heard, each song having its own unique essence. Despite lasting almost an hour, it never feels long and just keeps getting better. The only things that bring it down are the songs "In the Flight" (the live version being a thousand times better) and "Magic Love," as I feel they don't quite come together and end up interrupting a perfect tracklist. But aside from that, it features ... read more
It's difficult for me to give an objective opinion on Converge's albums post-Jane Doe and You Fail Me, as I feel they're masterpieces of the genre, but even so, this album is incredible. They maintain that characteristic heaviness but leave behind those disgusting yet beautiful vocals that defined them, opting instead for a slightly more "modern metalcore" sound. As for the tracklist, I feel the strongest parts are right at the beginning and end of the album, with the ... read more
A really fun album to listen to. In this record Sweet Trip blends dream pop with rock and they do it quite well. Even so, I feel like some songs in the middle of the tracklist are a bit unnecessary, and some tracks sound similar to each other. But other than that, it's very enjoyable. I think there are dream pop bands that have a more interesting sound, but they still sound incredible, no complaints there.

I don't understand the hate for this album. Yes, it's immature and clearly not the most polished punk album out there, but there's no denying it's super fun, consistent, and doesn't get boring. And even though it's a relatively low-budget album, it still sounds pretty good. Lyrics aside, which clearly don't fit well in the current times and have become quite absurd, Milo's vocal personality is undeniable and fits perfectly with the rest of the band's ... read more
A hidden gem, I don't understand why it doesn't get the appreciation it deserves. It's not perfect, it has a few uninteresting songs or tracks that don't add much to the record, but even so, it doesn't drag and maintains a very unique sound, combining the distortion of alternative metal from that era with the melodies and influences of post-hardcore.
Favs: Fazer, Head to Wall, Lie and Wait
Worst: Slip, Can Opener
This album has one of the most unique sounds I've ever heard; there's no other record like it. It can get a little repetitive as the songs goes, but it never stops being interesting until the final tracks, which are absolutely incredible. I wouldn't rate it perfect because I feel some songs drag a bit, but even so, there isn't a single bad track.
Favs: Almost all of them
Worst: Weird Tales (its good but it drags too long)
Pretty solid metalcore record, carried away by the first half, cause the second half feels mostly like filler songs and it can drag on too long, but the band's sound has too much personality to become boring.
Favs: The House of Wolves, Sleepwalking, Shadow Moses
Worst: And the Snakes Start To Sing, Seen it All Before, Crooked Young
I don't understand why it doesn't have a higher rating. I'm not exactly a fan of the genre, but the consistency of the songs, how unique each one feels, the vocalist's personality, and how good the band sounds overall blows me away. I understand that for some, it might have some filler, but even the tracks that are considered filler are excellent in my opinion.
Favs: Pretty much all of them
Worst: Maybe The Prophet
This album is very important for the emergence of alternative metal in the 90s. It's not perfect and lacks consistency, but it's very unique in its sound and has Helmet's characteristic, inimitable groove. It's not the best of the genre, but it's clear that it's one of the pioneers of the sound.
Favs: Repetition, Sinatra, FBLA, Blacktop
Worst: Rude, Make Room
It has its ups and downs, but what a great album. Heavy, progressive, but without losing its groove. Might be their best work along with Obzen. Can get a little repetitive but it depends on the mood tbh
Favs: New Millennium Cyanide Christ, The Mouth Licking What You've Bled, Corridor of Chameleons
Worst: Elastic
