North West - N0rth4evr
78

its competently made, self aware in its corniness, and doesnt overstay its welcome. it doesn't try to be anything more than a few fun songs, which it does pretty well. its pretty derivative of the rest of the rage underground, but i didnt expect a debut ep from a 12 year old girl to revolutionise the music scene.

i think a lot of people are judging this album more on its contextual information, like North Wests relation to Kanye, to see the ep musically as it is.

Kendrick Lamar - Not Like Us

nothing wrong with the song. i just dont like it anymore

ISSBROKIE - BOMINATION!
NR

she says the word like she cant say the word even though she can say the word

James Marriott - Adios Lele
NR

what am i even suppose to rate this song on

d4vd - Romantic Homicide

good song but wow has it aged badly

Squid - Bright Green Field

Sounds like the soundtrack to an alien city...

Dont get fooled by this albums title- because this is the furthest thing from the natural, comforting theme the cover presents. Instead, the album combines the fun but casual groove of post punk and dance-punks rhythms (think lcd soundsystem, or the talking heads) with the feeling of getting hit by a 50 ton truck. This album is bipolar with how it swings from minimal to "holy fuck what is going on" in a second, and its ... read more

Muse - Unravelling (Ghost Town Version)
75

it works surprisingly well considering its an acoustic cover of a djent/alt metal song

Muse - You Make Me Feel Like It’s Halloween
78

this song is a fucking disaster. the solo is so out of place, the lyrics are so ass, and the instrumental is so corny and over the top, to the point i feel embarrassed listening to it. but its so generic it loops around into being fun.

at least they werent taking themselves so seriously like they did on every other song on the album

Three Days Grace - Animal I Have Become
78

metal gear rising ass song. chorus is nice tho

Magdalena Bay - Killshot (Slowed + Reverb)
60

its just a more boring worse version of the original lol why does this exist. tbf its got a vibe to it, but it doesnt justify how much of a downgrade it is to the original. also fuck this tiktok ass trend of shifting the tempo of songs, its just dumb as hell

femtanyl - LOTTERY
NR

as much as im not completely in love with this single as much as i am with femtanyls other music, it makes me really excited about the direction shes going in. before, whilst all her songs were really good, they all ended up being pretty derivative of eachother, but this has been a massive development of her style, even if i believe it could still be refined.

Tyler, The Creator - DON'T TAP THE GLASS
78

its fun. nothing special to be honest, but its nice for an actually good hip house album to be released in recent time. its not too surprising that tyler went full pop rap and dance with this project, since his last few albums (cmiygl and chromokopia) have ventured into the fun braggadocio that a lot of his early works spirited. im glad it wasnt hyped to shit like chromakopia was tho, as then it would have far too high expectations for it to be something it wasnt.

Joey Valence & Brae - WASSUP
84

genuinely one of peggys best features. compare it to his feature on vengeance (still a goated song), and it blows it out the park. its rlly fun and catchy, with the energy i expect with a JV&B song, and its pretty difficult to pull off a song like this without it being cringey to the point its awkward to listen to (im looking at u, bbno$...)

Drake - What Did I Miss?
63

being fr it exceeded my expectations, but thats only because of how lifeless most of drakes newer music is. however, this song tries to be a hype song (at least i think), but still suffers from the same shit that SSSFU suffers from, and thats that its sleepy as shit. the song aint too bad, but ive never been less hyped for an album in my life, since its lead single thats suppose to hype up the rollout is this boring.

also drake is farrrrr too old to be saying the same shit he usually does. ... read more

JVKE - golden hour
76

genuinely rlly good, but i cant help feel like it sounds a little superficial. its very pretty sounding, but this song embodies an aesthetic and doesnt do a whole lot more than that. especially considering how corny the marketing for this song use to be

SOPHIE - OOH
86

surprisingly far better than i expected

Kanye West - ye
89

i prefer this to ksg by far ngl

My Chemical Romance - Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge (Deluxe Edition)
98

its rare for a remix to so drastically change the feel of an album, and here, i think it fits PERFECTLY. i never thought a deluxe where all the songs sound sickly smooth would fit an album as full on and chaotic as this one, but even though in concept i would have thought this would be a pathetic money grab, i cant deny it sounds amazing. however, i still miss the distorted unintelligible noisyness of the original. this version does feel less raw.

""complete maelstrom of spite and hate, regularly having these ego trips and crash outs on their own fan base" i think ur rlly overblowing it atp. like i agree that shes kinda a cornball, but wow are you dramatic. you dont gotta go on a butthurt rant just cus she said her fans are stupid, even tho her fanbase is pretty ass anyways"

"@Suma mb ur right i didnt see ur earlier comments. i think hes at the point of accessibility where nothing he does is as overtly unique as injury reserve for example. as a character, undeniably hes corny af, especially w his one sided freddie gibbs "beef". i just saw the idea that he is a nazi sympathiser as being the primary reason for why this album is supposedly bad to be a little one dimensional. i think the productions stellar, and some examples of where you thought it felt random could have helped. ngl i think the biggest issue is the corniness of a few or the songs, with the lyrics being cringey, and him occasionally relying on, for lack of a better term, shock factor to keep the songs entertaining, (im lookin at u, exmilitary)"
On Suma's review of JPEGMAFIA - I LAY DOWN MY LIFE FOR YOU
"all your criticism amounts to is; "peggys a nazi sympathiser" (care to elaborate?? the only thing mildly morally controversial he has done as far as im aware is partly produce a few of kanyes songs) "hes soooo quirky which is BAD" (because how dare an experimental rapper try to do something new and, dare i say, ✨️experiment ✨️) duh im biased cus i love this album but idk calling someone a nazi sympathiser is a pretty pretty serious claim, one maybe you should back"
