This is such a fun listen. So. Many. Bangers. Great performances, and while Kendrick doesn't really sound hungry or anything in this, it's just great quality all around. Extremely consistent, maybe even one of the most consistent rap albums I've ever heard.
Some of the most unique production and melodies I've ever heard on a rap album. Extremely original and captivating. And the lyrics too... Probably the most emotional I've felt while listening to a rap album. Also I can attach this album to the memory of someone I really cared about so that helps.
Probably the most emotional I've felt listening to a rap album, it's very very good. Takes many listens to get close to understanding it. Could very easily become a 100 in the ... read more
This is Kendrick's vultures. And I know that's a hot take because some people will die for this album. I just don't get it... The production is meh and lyrically and performance wise this album just feels lazy for a Kendrick album. Some stand outs but pretty lousy from him.
This would be on the same level as GKMC if it wasn't for how forgettable the songs on this album are to me. Not sure why at all because when I get one of these on shuffle I love it. Maybe it deserves a relisten after all this time, so my opinion on this could change.
Kendrick's best album and one of the best rap albums of all time. Songs like my favorite Real that resonate with me but there's also songs like Compton that are fun. The lyrics and story telling is just amazing. Probably the only album which has perfect production AND lyricsm.
Yeah not 100. Very overrated imo as this is not even Kendrick's best (3rd best imo). Yes, there are a LOT of AMAZING songs, but also quite a few ones I just don't care for. Have to give it a high rating for the sheer quality though.
The worst album I've ever listened to. This is just so ass tho I'm crine son 😭. But fr tho every song had lame ass production, the vocals just sound terrible, and don't even get me STARTED on the lyrics. Those lyrics genuinely had me laughing bro how is this a real album 😭. Oh and guess what the subject matter for all 18 songs was! Drugs... sex.... and violence! Would you believe that! No wonder it's so ass. The lyrics feel like a challenge: how many different ways can ... read more
Kinda disappointing... It's not like the songs are bad or anything but there's genuinely just NO variation/stand outs. This just sounds generic and uninspired compared to the rest of their discography. Still aight tho, just boring.
Wow. Such a heavenly album, like seriously. This is like what growing up sounds like, or like frolicking in a field sounds like lol. This album is like good for the soul if I had to describe it. Genuinely just puts me at peace. Feels just like the cover.
I consider Vibes and Days as one album because of their length and similar sound. And I just think they go perfectly together. So my rating for them will be the same.
SO. MUCH. NOSTALGIA. I think this was the first album I ever listened to in its entirety. Every single lyric is relatable for me. I swear it's like they wrote the album for me it's crazy. This album just makes me feel warm idk how else to put it. The singing is fantastic and varied, and so are the instrumentals unlike ... read more

This album grew on me quite a lot after some relistens. Pretty enjoyable with a lot of stand out tracks. Doesn't mean it's great, but yk it's alright.
I don't actually HATE this album, it's just really mid. Some pretty good songs on here actually that I actually enjoy. Might be AI, but I can't hear it, and even if it is, I don't really care that much if it's not on your face.
SO MANY bangers on here oh my god. Just wish it was less bloated because this would be another 10/10. Listening to this for the first time was sooooo fun even despite the length. Better than TLOP imo
Ngl this is actually a pretty fun listen. Obviously this has its flaws and the songs are short but it's not BAD like people say it is. And yeah I can get over the gospel-ness quite easily lol cuz who cares.
I know this rating is high compared to what a lot of other people think. But to me this album perfectly describes Kanye in a way no interview could. This album is personal and vulnerable but also fun to listen to. Very varied in how you could feel sad on one song, and be nodding your head to the next, and that kinda goes into the whole bipolar theme. It's great, this is Kanye West in an album.
People really like this album but I'm not one of them(compared to other Kanye albums). Yes there are a lot of bangers on this but also a lot of filler and kinda strange tracks. (Pt. 2 ehem ehem). But No More Parties In LA is one of my favorite songs ever and it's on this so... It's an 8. It was the first ever rap song I listened to LOL, and I knew it was fire even back then.
Could very easily be a 100. I'm still unsure but this might be his best production. The energy on this album is so awesome and I'm yet to see it elsewhere. But the PRODUCTION dude. You notice details with every listen whether it be some faint background vocals or piano or SOMETHING. So layered and awesome. Sure the lyrics might be questionable at times but with an album like this he could be speaking gibberish and it would still be awesome.
