This is probably the most emotional a rap album has made me feel. The story told throughout the whole album and his lines about his daughter broooo. And the last song really just ties it all together beautifully. This is an album that if you were paying attention, really makes you think after it's over like a good book or movie does.
probably not his best album unfortunately but definitely his 2nd best behind 4 Your Eyez Only. Lyrically speaking it probably IS his best album, I mean lyrically this album is an 11 lol. Yeah the rapping is hard but the songs all sound pretty similar icl... Gets boring after a while cuz no variety.
My favorite Drake album. This is the definition of the late 2000's rap sound that I love. Songs like Fancy and The Resistance are also some of the first rap songs I ever listened to, so there's that nostalgia factor as well. All in all, extremely consistent, probably Drake's most consistent album in fact.
Pretty fun listen, especially at night. Usually not a huge trap fan but Drake delivers. Idk why this turns into UK trap near the end though lmao but it was good regardless.
A lot of quality on this album. Chipmunk soul to trap, yet it all sounds fresh and stays consistent. Drake sounds VERY hungry on this and you can feel his energy on this. Some of his best rapping ever on this for sure.
That first half is such a snooze fest. 2nd half redeems it's though and actually produces some great songs. That first half though... nothing saving that, especially cuz those songs are all at least 4 minutes 😴.
Tyler sounds pretty motivated in this. This album can be pretty goofy but in a good way. Tyler raps pretty well on this for the most part and there are some pretty memorable songs, just nothing special though.
All the songs are good but... perhaps I overlistened or something but these songs are so obnoxious to me now to the point where I usually skip them when they come on. But this definitely was a good album.
This is such a feel good album man. Probably my favorite from Tyler. Super fun and creative, I go back a lot.
Yeah this album is vibes but the middle 3 songs are pretty obnoxious imo. I can get behind a vibey album though, especially one by Tyler. Good, but nothing special really.
Extremely HIGH highs but also some misses unfortunately. The production and performances on this thing can go from the best thing you've ever heard to aight lol. Mostly bangers though, just not consistent enough.
Pretty nostalgic for me. Lots of bangers but also some skips. Jay sounds hungry in this even though it's pretty late in his career, it's nice to hear.
His best album. Would be a 100 if I went back to it more. Just insane quality and so fun to listen to. Jay sounds like he's having fun on this and it's contagious. The production only backs up that feeling on a lot of the songs. Oh and that Eminem feature oh my gah.
Insanely forgettable. Maybe it's due a relisten but I honestly couldn't be bothered lol. Maybe tho if I feel like it.
Surprisingly good and consistent. 2nd worst from Kendrick but not bad by any means. The rapping is great, even for how early this was in Kendrick's career. Just a fun album. Really just feels like a slightly worse prequel to Section 80.
