Neil Cicierega, or Lemon Demon is someone who seems naturally drawn to making music. His vocals often melt together with the sugary, yet slightly horror-inducing instrumentals he typically uses to create a melodic amalgamation. Deep Puddle Dynamics is the first I’ve heard of Sole or Alias, and the second I’ve heard of Slug and Doseone. I’ve become familiar of those two through Atmosphere and cLOUDDEAD, respectively. Despite Doseone’s odd, often pretentious-seeming flow, I really love his presence on this record, and his voice grew on me majorly throughout the experience. My first project from this man, and I'm rather fond of it. There isn't much that completely stuns me and leaves me gasping for air, but I love the atmosphere and energy it surrounds the listener with. It's fun, and not in a forced, inauthentic way, it feels genuinely fun and engaging. Also, despite being an hour long, it barely felt that length, with some of the songs flying by so fast.
