DOPAMINE, Where do i start? The album beats are usually unique with summery sounding joyful instrumentals that comprise most of the album. Although after a few songs i feel myself getting bored of similar sounding beats. The rapping is not a problem and there's enough substance along with the transitions through each song to help it along with its well made production.
ERYS is probably one of the most average hip hop albums you'd hear in your life, over its 17 tracks it does venture into new sounds occasionally but most of it feels bland and feels overly floaty. Overall not as good as SYRE but it has its strengths and weaknesses
Favorite Song: Fire Dept
Rodeo is an amazing trap album with amazing production filled with gritty beats and beautiful guitars. Trying to go for a more cinematic approach instead of the norm for trap during this time. But there is still a little more room for improvement left.
Favorite Song: 3500 or 90210 (I Couldn't decide their both 10/10 songs)
Tha Carter VI is such a mess of an album, im honestly surprised i didnt rate this lower almost every single song feels like a train wreck with no real product or end and it's just clunky and weird. The first 4 songs alone are better than 95% of the album but it quickly goes downhill from there.
Favorite Song: Bells
Live For Me is a short yet spacious EP that helps show off his artistic abilities on crisp alternative and R&B beats.
Favorite Song: Pilot
LIVE LIFE FAST is a bit of an underwhelming sophomore project at times with many of the songs feeling often bland but he does take some moderate risks that does help the album pick up its pace at times. Yet very little replay value and he doesn't use his full potential. But lets be real yall overreacted on this album when it first dropped, its decent.
At.Long.Last.A$AP is a very pleasing psychedelic hip hop album. Never lacks in any subjects it feels dense and easy to listen to along with showing extreme growth from his previous projects.
Favorite Track: Fine Whine
Joji stays pretty consistent with this album and overall doesn't feel out of touch and too many spots along with the album sequencing being near perfect. I also love how he has a recurring theme about simply love yet its displayed in a sci-fi way.
Overall, Near Perfect which is probably a hot take.
