This project by the Brazilian band Lupe de Lupe is one of the most interesting Brazilian albums I have ever listened to. This album, almost two hours long, is an interesting mix of alternative rock, shoegaze. noise rock, and even slightly punk. This is an unique album, with twenty-one songs, there is at least one song anyone can enjoy. The length of this album always made me not wanting to finish it entirely, but as I write this I finished my second full listen to it and let me tell you, ... read more
listening to this unironically gives me anxiety.
In their home country of Brazil, Los Hermanos are considered as one of the most successful rock bands from the past twenty years. At their core, they are known for writing the song "Anna Julia" a favorite song among Brazilians born in the late 90s and early 2000s, including myself. Their debut album had a pop rock and hardpunk rock sound, but this album (and their second album) are totally different. Los Hermanos were trying to find their own sound since their debut album, and I ... read more

I miss being a kid listening to 11th dimension nonstop bro
"Chico Buarque de Hollanda" was the album that helped start the career of one of Brazil's most famous singers. Not only did this album succeed when it first released in 1966, it is considered as one of the best albums to come out of Brazil. It has iconic songs and an iconic cover, popular in Brazilian memes. This is one of the catchiest albums I have heard, and Buarque is one of the best song writers I have seen.
The album has phenomenal lyrics, yet simple. The first song of the ... read more
*I will need to put a disclaimer about my review on this album, I will be discussing mature topics, this is not a kid friendly album.
I wasn't going to write a full on analysis on an album as silly as this one but here I am now. This is one of the most puzzling albums I have heard. Compared to other Brazilian singers I have heard, there isn't one like Rogério Skylab. I found this album on a chart of Brazilian mu/core albums, as someone who was born there I was more curious about the ... read more
the first eight minutes of the first song will always make me emotional.
how can a band make some of the most hilarious songs ever but also some of the saddest songs ever.
although not a masterpiece like their debut album, this is still one of the best albums of all time.
this album is very special to me because not only did it get me to listening to brazilian music, but it helped me reconnect with my brazilian identity (a side of myself i felt unconfident with). everything about this album is amazing, i love all the songs and the album cover is one of my favorites . if you want to get into latin american rock, you need to listen to this album.
