The movie somehow manages to be even better than the source material and I’m saying this in the best way possible.
Chainsaw man is my favorite manga but biases aside, this is like a mix of eternal sunshine of the spotless mind with kill bill volume 1 and the soundtrack works really well with that contrast. The warmth and slice of life elements in the beginning with the later, more tragic ultraviolent action and horror on the second half. Just watch the movie man. That shi worth it.
Beautiful and original from beginning to end, really atmospheric and dark. Trent Reznor is just a goddamn genius in every single way, he just knows how to read the atmosphere when it comes to music.
Daft punk's take was more epic, orchestrated and grandiose while also making emphasis on electronics, but Trent took that approach and literally just said fuck it I'll make it a nine inch nails album. Dystopic, industrial, dark and atmospheric, like a club in the dark with red lights ... read more
I mean, kinda hard not to be biased about this one, but how could I not?
It's like the 3am version of Moon Safari and I loved every second of it ♥️
Man, I knew that once I saw that painting of End of the trail as the album cover, this was going to hit me like a truck.
