A metalcore album that showed a very strong potential to be a decent album but this thing is just too damn long and too damn samey. If you cut maybe 4 song you can have a tight and solid enough record that doesn't overstay it's welcome but there are moments you can't help but tune out due to their insistence on doing the same thing over and over. I'll take a few songs away from this as I am a sucker for the classic metalcore sound but otherwise a bit of a waste.
Fun EP. Spiteful as shit and got those classic Deathcore bones. I think it didn't go as far as it needed to but I am hoping to hear something just as good if not better next time round.
Classic Deathcore shenanigans. A refreshing album in a sea of everyone chasing the next thing, these guys stay true to their roots and whilst it offers nothing new to the genre, they offer a look back at a sound I love so dearly but brought up to modern context. Deathcore like this needs to make a comeback, at least for a few years
This project got good bones. I think this very short album is a good showing. Feels a little like they are testing the waters and trying to hone in on their own sound. There are some shaky moments and others can be generic but they have a few hitters in there. Looking forward for what's to come from this band.
The most enjoyable form of tonal whiplash. I went into this project prepared to disappointed, especially after not enjoying the PALEHELL EP of last year but I think they put the sauce back on the meal coz this shit is EXACTLY what I wanted it to be. Super fun, psychotic song writing that will never fail to get a giggle out of me and just some supremely talented musicians enjoying themselves.
Fun project that covers a lot of ground in the hardcore scene. Big breakdowns and big sounds. Got a little corn in it especially on the song Coldrage but you can tell they had fun so it kinda makes up for it. Will give this a few more spins
I gave this a listen as someone suggested me a song of theirs and I liked it, unfortunately it did not extend to the rest of this project. It felt like an amalgamation of a lot of the metal sensibilities I hate and eventually got very grating. Not fundamentally bad but feels a little uninteresting and up it's own ass at times. Definitely not for me but I know that this will resonate with others.
I liked this one more than their previous albums. A lot of fun some very old school metal sensibilities mixed in there like the song Love Weapon sounding like Holy War.. The Punishment Due but happy. I liked the way they mixed it in with their spacey prog sound, made it very interesting. Well worth a few spins
I got love for this band. Ever since I found them through the Rain Museum album I have been excited for the next release. This popped up out of nowhere and unfortunately the album feels like it went nowhere. It's well produced and written decently enough but there's not much to talk about after your time with it. Nothing stands out or does anything outright impressive. I am glad it's not bad but would have loved more from these guys.
A really fun pop album that breezes through it's run time. Nothing too fancy but still manages to keep you listening in and dancing along. Well pieced together for sure
I felt like I was present for the break up and god did it feel uncomfortable but a really cathartic way of getting through it for Lily I am sure. Very interesting to sit there and listen to the tea while dancing. I feel like I am at a party overhearing the drama and I am for it.
I found this to be beautifully produced and well written with some really nice textures offered up by a beautiful sound palette. It does end up getting very directionless by the end of the first half making it very difficult to keep your ear when listening and the themes of love and Christianity feel very "post nut clarity"-esque. One second man talking bout having a baby, next Jesus is all up in the picture. I wouldn't have minded if he had picked one theme and just stuck to ... read more
A really solid project. Fire beats, great rhymes, fun songs and deep ones alike. It has it all if you want to sit down and consume a good amount of hip hop sensibilities in one album. These two seem to be an excellent duo and I hope they continue to collaborate.
Another killer EP from a band I am keeping a very close eye on. The atmosphere they create is so incredible, love the gaze aspects they use as well as the impact they show through their heavier elements. Worth a bunch of spins.
A very decent pop album. I did find my focus waning after a while. Some of the songs stand to be very generic, boring and uninspired but when the hits are on it's definitely fun to listen to. There are a lot of nice elements and it's very good across the board, doesn't do anything stand out but does the simple shit very well.
This shit ass... Lizzo got another fall off that needs a study. Each song is the same. I was big, I was little, I'm a bad bitch, people tryna fuck, people don't fuck with me but I don't care anymore but I will mention it 100 times to make sure you know that I don't care and OH my name is Lizzo btw. A bunch of fun beats wasted on some complete slop. (Doja cat song kinda funny tho.)
Decent enough. I can't help but feel like they are reaching for a Callous Daoboys level project but haven't quite got there yet. Close but not quite all the way there. Fun project, lots of interesting noise and concepts so worth a good few listens. I look forward to the future of this band
Stumbled across this in my searches for new music and decided to give it a go coz the cover looked sick! I loved my time with it. A nice collection of really well written songs that remind me so much of bands I used to play gigs with. A lot of heart and passion in the songs and the energy brought to each song really helps sell it. Happy I found it and will be returning frequently
