Damn near perfect album, one of the best from last year fs (I’m here to counteract the review bombing but this is genuinely how I feel about this album!)
One of the most beautiful and terrifying experiences to come from an album in the 2020s so far.
I knew I was gonna like this since I saw them in Kansas City on this last tour, but even that wasn’t enough to prepare me for the sheer dark beauty of this album. The recording quality is fantastic and I was able to pick up small details that I couldn’t while seeing them live. It made so much sense for Kendrick to drop this now. As someone who has been a fan as long as I have been a fan of hip-hop, I can agree that he deserves it all.
One of Godspeed’s best albums ever, and for a great cause as well. Free Palestine, ceasefire now!
