honestly the rest of it wasn’t terrible, i liked nothing in this world, however ADHD is respectfully so bad i cannot rate this any higher
i’m gonna be honest i genuinely only listened to this because it looked nice sitting in between illenium’s odyssey and nova may’s rocker room in my list of albums to listen to but holy shit i’m so glad i did
vaguely pleasant but quite generic
- the highlight was “don’t want your love”, ellie goulding was incredible as expected
- i also really liked the bring me the horizon feature on “slave to the rithm”, although imo they really carried the song, illenium kind of just slapped on a milquetoast acid techno beat and a few drops
i am going to say something potentially upsetting but this is like if tyler the creator was good
you don’t often see country edm so in theory it should have been interesting but it still felt really generic. the best songs imo were without you and both versions of never die and heartbroken
pleasant industrial bass but addictionz was the only song with any staying power for me
throws a lot of spaghetti at the wall, some of it sticks and some of it doesn’t, but i will always respect an album like this more than an album that’s just like sort of good but boring and takes no risks. was getting a lot of whiplash between “this is dogshit” and “this is brilliant”. i think my main issue is that the vocals sound less like rapping and more like talking; occasionally this works but it didn’t work for me here
look how they massacred my boy. i could not have conceived how badly it’s apparently possible to fuck up some of these songs. like seriously it’s expected for classic hits to get remixed into smithereens but this is simply a trainwreck, not a single song was improved on in any way except for maybe the j balvin and farruko feature. but that second lean on remix is atrocious. genuinely how is it possible to fuck up lean on that bad
the vanic remix of be together is probably the best addition that wasn’t on the original
since when does diplo make phonk lmao
i understand the poor ratings because i imagine people are expecting something more distinguished and refined out of him but if you can handle tiktok phonk and soundcloud rap it’s enjoyable. i considered rating it lower but it’s exactly what it’s trying to be and i had fun so
nada súper innovador pero muy agradable, normalmente no me gustan los álbumes largos pero este no parece que demore su bienvenido (lo siento mi español apesta pero quiero sentirme incluido)
