Driven and teased using some monster singles, Ultimate Success Today is the 5th record by the American post punk outfit protomartyr, this record does not disappoint. Three respected and high appraised musicians from three mighty bands have been cut loose to create an album and visadé of whoever and whatever they what they want to be. This self titled album by the collection is a wonderful, spacious shoe gaze rock record with smoky studios but merged with more caring and nurturing lyrics that carry you through a 44 minutes of bliss. This record may only be 44 minutes long but this record really packs a punch and you are left wanting this collaboration ... read more
