Almost every song is a banger. highly recommend Worth The Wait, Val De Marne and an unrelated single Golden Boy if you’re new.

Better than Mr. Morale imo. Nothing can touch TPAB but it feels like the King is back.
Pretty good, definitely listen if you like Brent otherwise the big takeaways are:
- Wherever I Go
- Upset
- Belong To You
- WY@
Huge step up from the sidline and it's got some of his best works on here. The biggest gripe is that it's long (21 including the deluxe songs) but there are some gems in there.
It's short and sweet. I grew up on this album in a sea of old school hip-hop and rnb and bc of that this album will always have a special place in my heart.
Fell in love with this album before I even knew who Cole was fr. Intro changed my life and is what made me sit down and revisit this album. The back half is a little weak imo but it's still pretty good overall.
The very first song I ever heard off this album was Loose Change and it's remained my favorite track. Wasting Time and Addictions have come to be close runners ups tho.
Ik that the skits put people off this album, but I like them, they made the listening experience easier, helping offset boring tracks. Wake Up Call is the best of them all, great (and jarring) way to close the album, had me thinking about it for months.
My biggest gripe is that Heal Your Heart isn't longer.
After listening he became one of my GOATs. Damn wish I was on the mixtape scene back in '10.
As much as I hate to say it this is a mediocre album with a few absolute bangers.
Most of the music had heavy influences(the isleys, michael jackson, gaye, prince, etc.) but he added own flare to make it his own. I don’t care for the song that has the electronic sounding vocals at all(California) it seems so random, the way he’s singing makes me want to grind my teeth, and it sounds out of place. but he probably had fun recording it.
All in all the slower songs are my favorites. ... read more
I have no idea why it took me so long to finally listen to all of her album but butter late than never.
I have no idea what kind of crack they put in this album but I need them to make more of it.
One fair warning though, Rich Harrison basically produced the entire album so there’s not much variety when it comes to the tracklist but it’s still good so idc.
My biggest qualm is probably the pacing and some of the track choices. It’s a solid album but she was obviously still gaining her footing especially when it comes to actually putting a cohesive album together. It’s still one of my favorite albums of all time.
Lauryn Hill is the best female rapper of all time. It’s too bad she didn’t release any more official LP’s.
maybe im riding on nostalgia but this is probably one of my most favorite pop albums of all time. second half kinda fell off with the slow songs but i still like it a lot.
