Excellent grooves as always, but this time around Thundercat really focuses on the construction of these tracks, making a record that avoids feeling like snapshots of great ideas, and truly just interesting, unique songs all in all.
It's not exactly what I would've wanted following the long wait, but Rashad is incredibly introspective on here, opening up about life in and out of the public eye, his sexuality, and his sense of self. Solid tracks throughout.
Solid little EP from the Gibbster. He kinda sounds tired in his tone, but it only makes his flow feel more fluid. He doesn't miss.
