the money store, by the infamous hip hop trio death grips is one of the most acclaimed experimental albums ever. The distorted 808s, glitchy production and interesting samples mixed with mc ride’s vocals (which sort of carry the album in my opinion) make for a very interesting listen. The problem i have with this album is that it is a pretty mixed bag. To be honest, some songs sound like pure ass to me, meanwhile others (like hacker, hustle bones and i’ve seen footage) are absolute ... read more
day 1 brat hater btw❤️🩹
back in summer 2024 i used to fucking hate this album. I deadass listened to it like 3 times hoping it would grow on me (then) but i still thought it was ass. Now, after having listened to it once again, it sort grew on me. I admire what charli does on this project and how bold it is, but it just isnt for me😔
the production is fun and energetic, but that fuckass auto tune pisses me off so much.
overall this isnt a bad album, but the only context in which i ... read more
damn
the project starts off pretty good, but it really gets a lot better towards the end (and also a lot more soul crushing). i was having a good day before listening to this shit, now my mood is completely ruined
I dont really like the weird shit tyler says on this album
Also how tf is sarah only a 60😛
This album is a masterpiece, it truly changed my music taste. Before listening to currents, i only liked hip hop and rap, maybe some pop, but that was it. Nothing outside of rap truly fascinated me, but this album felt different, the cover really pulled me in tbh.
The way Kevin handles a breakup album is fascinating. It isn’t like most albums regarding that theme, where the artist blames their partner and keeps on saying the same shitty thing about them for an hour. It is like being put ... read more
sonically speaking this album is kinda ass, but its driven by its concept, so it doesnt really matter
this is like mbdtf for people who werent alive when it released
also why tf this dude moaning on tommy😭😭
out of the 3 radiohead albums i have listened to (in rainbows, this, and ok computer) this is my favorite.
the production on this album is insane, it has some of the best guitar riffs i have ever heard and is just overall peak.
tbh im too lazy to write a full review so this is it😛
really good album, but some songs dont stick out that much😔
the production is gorgeous and yorke’s vocals are amazing, but i cant give it anything more than 8/10 (which is still really good)
weird fishes is one of the best songs ever tho😛
this was the first jpegmafia album i listened to, and it is aoty for me. The production is insane, with tracks like exmilitary, sin miedo and dont rely on other men really impressing me, but what is even crazier than the production are the samples. Where tf does peggy find these samples
Also he gets a little more personal on this record, especially on dont put anything on the bible, and its lowk peak.
The last thing i gotta glaze is his rapping, he delievers insanely catchy verses on this ... read more
this album is insanely forgettable. All songs sound the same, with lana having 0 versatility. There is nothing bad about this album, but also not a single good thing, pure mid
“greasy filthy handjobs” chino what the fuck is ts✌️
other than pink cellphone and rats, this is an incredible album, with songs like mein, xerces and cherry waves to make up for some rather unfulfilling moments (pink cellphone might be the worst song ever).
Overall this is kinda peak❤️🩹
although not all the songs on this album impressed me as much as the highlights did (mascara, be quiet and drive) it is quite good and definitely has me wanting to listen to more of their discography
Benson Boone’s Mystical Magical is the kind of pop song that mistakes glitter for gold, dressing up hollow songwriting with glossy production and hoping no one notices how little substance lies underneath. From the first few seconds, it’s obvious the track is designed as a quick dopamine hit rather than a piece of music worth revisiting. Boone leans heavily on overproduced falsetto runs and bombastic layering, trying to mask the fact that the lyrics themselves feel like a parody of ... read more
