I don't even know where to start, I guess first I should say that for a debut album this already feels like a band with a clear understanding of what they want their sound to be and they are able to work with it very well, making it very diverse and ear-pleasing. Jesus dude...This is very very good.
The guitar work on this is spectacular, whoever played it popped off. The guitars range greatly from heavy and chaotic to tingly and very expressive, and I absolutely love it. The songs are really dynamic, although they do tend to follow somewhat of a samey structure which I started to notice around my 5th listen (yeah I listen a lot to this) and the screaming is also really really great even if it at times was lost in the loud instrumentation.

While this ain't anything extraordinary, I loved it a lot. It's a great dance record, every song felt different enough, introducing new interesting sounds and twists without which the record of course would be boring and would've gotten stale pretty fast. What was I thinking in 2023 calling these guys overrated

I usually dislike this type of laid-back and passive type of music, but somehow this album not only made me cry twice but also had me enjoying every second of it.

Idk what I expected from my first experience with Rosalia and her music, but It def wasn't this.

I absolutely love the idea to incorporate a whole ass orchestra into your album. Every song sounds like a movie soundtrack due to the sheer scale of sound and amount of people and instruments involved with the making of this. The 10+ also feels cool but like was it really needed? Great screamo stuff, weirldy enough my fave song is the one with the least amount of screaming in it, and yet both the disjointed/beautiful harmonies and the absolutely ear-shattering screaming made me a bit emotional. The instrumentals also present great range and complexity in the songs, which all flow super well themselves but also in between one another. This is nothing exceptional, but u know I never expected anything revolutionary from this band.

But this is still solid af. The riffs are first and foremost memorable, but also made me emotional at moments, especially in songs like Hawk and What's Mine. The vocals are really cool as well, as expected from such an important and influential band in the genre. They played it pretty safe, with some songs sounding very similar to their previous record, but the addition of a different approach to production and at times more rich instrumentation kinda cost them the immense amount of energy their previous album had. I remember when a few years back I asked one of my friends, who at the time was a big Arctic Monkeys fan, to make me a playlist so I could become familiar with their sound. What I've noticed now looking back at that playlist, is that there's barely any songs from the Arctic Monkeys debut album. This is just pretty straightforward and basic, doesn't mean it's bad tho
It's a solid record with very memorable guitar riffs and vocals that just make the singer seem like the most confident and sassy person ever. Some songs have gotten stuck in my head for a few hours now, while others are just there

I'll give this album the benefit of having an immaculate vibe and it makes me feel like I'm lost in the middle of some enchanted woods. But unfortunately for this album I never go to the forest, so I'll probably never play it again in full.

Very short and very sweet. I feel like this album almost followed a pattern of one song being more moody and bringing a pretty dark atmosphere and then the next song has a dance punk feel to it and is very melodic and catchy. Which might seem jarring, but on second listen honestly it just brought a lot of variety cause without it even such a short album would feel boring

I swear I am not surviving this year with the amount of awesome and absolutely heart-wrenching chamber pop acts we've gotten. This is such a unique mix of genres, some of the happiest sounding instrumentals with some of the most devastating screams at one second and incredibly gentle and soft vocals at the other. The last songs actually drove me to tears with how gorgeous they sound, and I don't think that will stop anytime soon.

I actually might go crazy if I hear one more incredible chamber pop/art rock project like this in 2025. And this is A DAMN DEBUT, this band already feels like an act established long ago who already figured out their sound and excel at anything they do. I fell in love with Skins and Wake Robin on first listen and I just can't stop listening to this whole EP. I just hope their second EP this year is of the same quality and when they eventually drop an album I'll love it as much.
