RAPTURE IN MY HEAD 🤯
the end of my declan mckenna dive until he drops again and damn i think this is his best one. i feel like he tends to have songs that tend to feel kinda weak or uninteresting sometimes, or there’s some part in a song that ruins it for me like Sympathy’s weirdass instrumental, this album doesn’t have a lot of that! this album runs pretty consistently fun and just cool. pretty much everything here works on here and it’s a good time. except emily. ... read more
what in the indie/jazz/prog
i did not rly enjoy their debut album, look alive, and bc of that i kinda avoided listening to anymore early eyes. i liked this quite a bit more but i still am not like absolutely insane about it. i think it’s strange and impressive at its moments bc some of this sounds hard to pull off and weird to write but idk i’m just not over all this for rn
needed an easy listen and knew this would suffice.
i have always liked bruno mars’ style of pop music, it’s always a been a little more unique with all the mix of genres being brought in. i don’t think this album is as bumpy and fun as something like an evening with silksonic is, an album i very much enjoy, but i think with the very chill vibes this uses (for the most part) works out quite a bit. this is just an easy and enjoyable album where it’s difficult to find ... read more

wanted to give another shot to this album bc although I liked it, there was a lot of stuff I litterally have no memory some of the material on here.
My opinions did not sway as much as i hope to keep it real. I think I can appreciate this album a little more than I did before. None of this is to say that this record doesn’t have some songs that go extremely stupid tho. Undercover Martyn, This Is The Life, Cigarettes In the Theater and What You Know are all 2010s indie ... read more
they ain’t screaming so much this time.
i think there are some songs off of shed that go a little more crazy than the rest of the others, however, i still enjoyed that album despite not being huge on hardcore. this does it even better! i think this album is full to the brim of moments that better fit the sound that these guys are aiming for but idk, this and shed are two different projects by a band idk much about. regardless, foral green knows what it’s doing and is rly cool bc of ... read more
“i think this type of playing is cool but i’d never really listen to it” -my dumbass
THIS IS SO COOL! there’s not really much of a reason not to fuck with this. unless you hate guitar or some shit idk. this album has some absolutely incredible moments that made me lose my entire shit. it’s so insanely impressive to hear and to watch this guy has some stupid amount of skill.
okay damn ppl didn’t like this ig.
i did!
hippo campus have adjusted their sound in every single project they have released. starting with ultra indie pop for a while to more synthy based stuff to more mainstream pop that i can’t take seriously and then country for a second.
this sounds like a very interesting combination of everything that they have gone through as a band and holy damn it’s really good! then songs on here all are either really pretty, really fun or a mix of ... read more
fun timing for this to come out right as i got really into dayglow for a bit.
anyways i know i say this a lot, but this album is SO REPETITIVE. like okay i don’t have a problem with fun indie pop, i’m all for it! and that’s exactly what this is zero question, but, sloan’s other albums have had a little more variety which made them a little more special in my opinion. okay i take that back only his first album had that, the other two stayed pretty samey as well. but the ... read more
WANT SOMETHING ELLLSEE
damn dude this was so fun! TEB rocks some absolutely awesome songwriting throughout the entirety of this project and rarely falls short. these songs have a ton of heart and personality. the progression of this album going from some rockin singles to some stronger rock ballads towards the end is something i usually wouldn’t be crazy about as i like my albums more spread out but tbh nothing ever truly feels like a repeat here. everything has a mind of its own and ... read more
i’m just a teenage dirtbag, baby, tossing and turning in our sheets lately.
that comparison isn’t a diss bc bad dream is prolly my favorite song on this album it’s just the same as teenage dirtbag. anyways this was chill asf which people seem to not like? idk i’m not attached to these guys so idk what their usual vibe even is but i mean i was cool w this! it was a shot in the dark when i chose this album and i wasn’t expecting to take away much considering i ... read more
we bumpin a bit here and there. this EP suffers from EP syndrome in my opinion. i think these guys could rock a whole album and really big up a whole big large project, they definitely have the songwriting ability for it. of course though i know the difficulties that come with that. but idk i left this wanting a lot more afterwards. but that’s not much of a complicated bc this was just a good lil time!
yk it wasn’t that bad! i honestly don’t have a lot to say about this album tho. there’s some bops in here and there’s some songs i think we’re fine. nothing on here sounds like prime dayglow but like whatever idc it’s small lil indie pop i listened to when i was doing math hw we’re gonna be okay
back at it again in the lo-fi department. i clicked on this album bc i thought Outside For A While was a cool song title and i can confirm that was a chill somg
this isn’t even 13 minutes but i have nothing to complain about. carter has improved a ton over the years and i think his songs keep getting better, but they weren’t ever bad as far as i can tell
one listen to after laughter later:
this was so fun! this is an album where you can feel the love and care that was put into from the very start. there’s just a vibe here that screams just how fun this whole thing was and i think that it brings this far. the songwriting here is very enjoyable and although this album can get a bit repetitive and samey, i think that that’s a half baked complaint
declan’s back it again.
i don’t rly have too much to say about this album if imma keep it a buck. i think this is better than think about the car, this has way more memorable tracks and parts however it doesn’t have brazil or i am everyone else and that’s tragic. this is a very harmless record and to say it’s anymore or any less than that is unfair i think
some king gizzard vibes in here
this album is potentially winning an award for the best album title ever bc that’s an awesome name. this is a great project! the pace on this album is good and everything works pretty well together to make a pretty good progression through this. i may need to dig a lil deeper into this project so i can like dissect what some of these songs are about bc some of these went over my head. idk wtf he’s talking about in gelatin mode. regardless, this had ... read more
THANK GOD this was good.
chasing low vibrations has become on of my recents favorites and although i don’t think album really touches the high that it set there, this album has no lack of grooves. i can confidently say that this is the best album they’ve had since torches, although supermodel is close. there’s always been some areas in the newer work that i’ve found i enjoy but idk. this album is just weird and fun. it does a lot of different things for better, and ... read more
30 mins of headbanging.
this album is just so awesome. the guitar work and energy on everything is just so strong in each individual track. sometimes talent in music is subtle and it’s the small things that you have to really pay attention to to track is someone is extremely talented, this album shoves it in your face in every way. i often find instagram guitarists or whatever who flex being awesome with extreme and crazy guitar licks and stuff that i really woudlnt listen to outside of ... read more

NOOOOO PLEASE DONT MAKE ME NOOO!!! ugh this reeks. big white bed i think is one of the best songs they’ve ever made which says something bc even that is basic. everything on here sounds pretty unoriginal or drawn from something else. and the stuff on here that is unique are pushing stupid boundaries like never before. but listen, i understand the appeal. these songs are catchy asf and with their newer material, while i don’t think it’s perfect ... read more
