There’s a video on Youtube in which Pharrell Williams was doing a masterclass for NYU and there he met Maggie Rogers. In many ways, I understand now why many prefer this album over Billie's latest album and it really shows. There's a sense of vulnerability that this album had that her latest one really doesn't and very much feels touching to listen to. It's way more softer, gentler yet has so much to say which were both heartbreaking yet riveting to listen to. In terms of production, HMHAS is better. But in terms of feeling, this is just way way better.
It's like someone trying to do a Frank Ocean song but doing it horribly.
