this thing is at least five tracks too long. its sort of boring after the first 4. there littlw to no difference in the tracks. i do think its a must hear for emo lovers but i do not think its a must love for anybody.
i think in terms of mainstream pop music this is perfect. the singles run was so good and well thought out. i do think BB is a lil immature but its not enough to ruin it. this album got me into music it really helped to push 80s music in the mainstream even if it had been hinting at it for a bit. classic album i dont trust anyone that dislikes it.
prodcution wise very interesting and it does things that you wouldnt think it would. i do sometime feel like the production outshines everything else. ad considering its a concept album not great. but i do think everyone should listen to this. i do think it will be one of the highlights of the year.
super interesting super impactful. its raw and there is never a dull moment. also for a 9 track album which is 46 mins it never overtsays its welcome every second it needed.
decent. its there best work but i dont think theres anything super amazing about it. nothing shocking but nothing bad
this has some of the best pop songs ever on it. its got lots of personality and its just super fun. while the slow tracks are super strong by themselves sometimes i feel like its a lil misplaced. lyrically super strong no matter what
while interesting it sometimes comes of as pretentious and yes it is the smiths but at least it’s bearable on other projects. the guitar work over is a highlight and often levels up the songs in every way.
the highs of this are so high it beats most over records to come out in recent years but sometimes i feel like the music doesn’t always match the emotions in the song. other than that its well produced well written and faults are single mistakes rather then any form of trend.
while great and experimental is ways that are unexpected. it’s unfinished and less then half the songs sound good. i understand why and the effects of addiction on the band were huge. this should have been a ep.
has some decent moments of it but doesn’t pack the same punch as the album before it. the bass on it is nice and i loved the disco influence.
