MGMT's most pensive album
MGMT was one of the biggest psych rock bands of the 2010s, but since Oracle Spectacle and Little Dark age, they've fallen off their peak commercially. I’ve always liked the band and have loved most of their albums, but their new album Loss of Life is probably their slowest and has the least amount of pop appeal. Not a bad thing, but the result is that it hasn’t done the numbers of their past works.

A heartbreaking and beautiful folk album about Sufjan’s late partner.
Sufjan Stevens is going through some rough patches in his life right now. First, this album is dedicated to his late partner, Evans Richardson, who passed away in April 2023. A fast-paced lo-fi indie experience, with lots of distortion, details, weird sounds, and layers across only 26 minutes.
