The Evangelion franchise, especially EoE, is among my favorite pieces of media ever made, and this soundtrack is a big reason why I adore it so much. For me, a good soundtrack should pack an emotional punch outside of the movie or game it was made for. A prime example would be The Ghost in the Shell OST by Kenji Kawai; “Making of Cyborg” is a great track on its own, but knowing the scene it was used in only enhances your appreciation of it.

This album has some of my absolute favorite Kendrick tracks ('Duckworth,' 'Fear') but also some of my least favorite ('God'🤮, 'Loyalty'). Everything in between is pretty solid. Additionally, this is the album that got me into hip-hop, which gives it a bonus as well.
