Non-2026

Yes - Close to the Edge
Araki's favorite album
Mort Garson - Mother Earth's Plantasia
Lullaby-est, reminds me LOTS of video game music, specifically N64 Zelda, and some parts sound SUPER similar to the enemies entrance sfx from Galaga. Bass part really good overall and love the spacey immersive feel, however some songs can be fairly repetitive. VERY impressive electric for the 70's and would LOVE to see how it was made (I'm guessing lots of keyboards lmao) and the concept of music for plants is extremely endearing.

FAV: Baby's Tears Blue, Music to Soothe the Savage Snake Plant, Ode to an African Violet
LEAST FAV: You Don't Have to Walk a Begonia (to bubbly, bordering on annoying)
Iron Maiden - Somewhere in Time
Maiden don't miss! Not quite a concept album but several songs deal with the theme of time I.E. Caught Somewhere in Time, Wasted Years, and Deju Vu. Iron Maiden switch up their sound by adding synths well maintaining their signature catchy as hell riffs. Alexander the Great (356-323) is another lengthy historical song from Maiden following the ENTIRE life story of Alexander a "god among mortal men", however at least upon first listen I don't love it as much as other tracks in this vein like Ryme of the Ancient Mariner

FAVS: Loneliness of the Long Distance Runner, Stranger in a Strange Land
LEAST FAVS: Alexander the Great (356-323) (UPON FIRST LISTEN AT LEAST)
