Feels like a bunch of throwaway songs from Freudian. I do appreciate the unique sound and production he brought to this album, but maybe it just lives under the shadow of his controversies and his stardom from Freudian.

It's always a great day when new Miguel music comes out.
After my first listen, I think this album exceeded my expectations. A lot of the songs here are vintage Miguel music- alt rock influence into an R&B sound, without having too much of that saturated sound which you get when rock is influenced into your R&B or hip-hop songs.
Gracias por la gran música, Miguel.

Back in 2022, I was in one of the most confusing and lowest periods of my life - finding difficulty in looking in the mirror and accepting if I truly have a chance of a better life. This album dropped at the lowest period of my life and saved me. I learnt to accept my flaws as well as my capabilities. Even to this day, when I listen ... read more
Unlike all the other Lord Huron albums, this one took me months to get hooked on.
This 50's and 70's approach to folk rock is something that wasn't easy to like at first, but after multiple listens, I get it. Sure, just like all Lord Huron albums, after you hear about 8 tracks in, it does feel a bit samey, but it's nothing new. What I will say is that this album "couldve been better" (I say this in quotes because there are moments I feel like sonically there ... read more
I genuinely do not understand how people do not put this album amongst the R&B classics of this generation.
A near-flawless album, arguably a future R&B classic, it starts off with one of my three favorite love songs of all time and maintains this slow, sensual yet affirming theme of love and possession. Freudian (title track) does go on longer than it should, but it doesnt take much away from what it has accomplished.

Chappel Roan is a freakazoid and WE LOVE HER FOR THAT.
Other than her slow songs, I feel like consistently her choices for production are quite good and fitiing. The songs I didnt like were mainly the slow songs which is very much a personal preference.
I'm quite intrigued as to the approach she will take after this album because she definetely is a one to watch.

WHile 83 is still a good score, I found Oxymoron sligHtly inconsistent from start to finish. The topics Q talks about in tHis project are Heavy and aggressive, but sometimes I feel like tHe execution of an idea was incomplete or Hasty. I did get some HigHligHts of tHis record, so I'm not complaining too mucH.

They done got Tame Impala too๐ฅ๐ฅ
5 years for this. This genuinely feels like Hiroshima for the millennials. Like literally so much throwaway house production which comes straight from the vault for Honestly Nevermind by Drake (which by the way is ass on its own). Like what has happened?
This at least will shut the "did you know Tame Impala was just one guy?" spammers, cuz they now wish more people worked on this.

One of the most funkiest albums I've ever heard. It is a heavy listen in the first cuz it's so much going on, but my God - it's a masterpiece. Questlove and D'Angelo brought the greats with this one. I know this album hits like psychic euphoria if you're high.

I was in the process of reviewing another album yesterday when the news of D'Angelo's passing hit me like a train.
If anything, I think it's an honour to celebrate his artistry by listening and giving reviews on his discography. Thank you for your wisdom, Black Messiah๐๏ธ
I had heard Voodoo and Brown Sugar some time ago, but never gave a formal review on it.
Honestly, there isn't much to say. This brotha speaks for himself.

One of my only crushes ever - Sade Adu๐
This album reminisces on that one dream about love you would never forget, even after you woke up. There's a reason why EVERYBODY loves Sade, and that is Sade reminds them of the most dreamiest moment of your life- a moment that makes your heart want to stop and take a deep sigh on the lost love.
Kiss of Life is arguably one of the two songs I consider the definition of love for me.
Beautiful, elegant, sexy, sensual, Sade.

Honestly, one of the best listens I've had during my walks. There are so many analogies I can put to Claire sounding in this album; most notably, she sounds like a "huskier Sade" in some parts of the album, also sounds like a Lana Del Rey voice on a folk rock type production in the second half of the album and finally, she also reminds me of like a chill but moodier version of Imaginal Disk by Magdelena Bay.
I think the only nitpick I have of this album is that it has a very ... read more
Bear in mind, I don't normally review movie scores, but when Daft Punk comes knocking at your door, you just don't say no.
My basis for review goes as follows :

<75 -- Yeah whatever
>75 -- Enjoyed even without the context of the movie
>90 -- Could actually be Daft Punk singles

Sometimes, I wonder what happened at the second half of the album, it was a creative shift compared to the start. It was a very serene listen but it does make me sleepy at times. Those piano chords are like the foundation of this album.

I think the way I look at this is, you know, how parents (the functional ones) tend to disguise the bad aspects of life as something satirical and fantastical, to their children, to kind of protect them from the truth, and then the kids grow up, realising life is much crueler than advertised to them. THIS ALBUM feels like that.
I shall only speak for myself, but I feel like there is no growth in sight to Taylor's approach in her creative tree (if she thinks the same way in her ... read more
To me, this is the greatest Live setlist of all time. I'm not even joking when I say I feel like musical euphoria for 1.5 hours straight with this album.
I blame my parents for not taking me to this live when I was 6 years old.
I severely underestimated how many hits this album had. It does drag on a bit, and it does have a very monotonous sound to every track, but hey, that's why I do love a couple of tracks in here. I get the entire "Rihanna is a vocalist" thing now.

Hip-Hop's savior (or not, he is NOT your savior) comes out with this rich West Coast-sounding album with some of the most catchy tracks he has released to date. One of his best intros to some Luther Vandross tributes to catching a Pac flow and speaking under multiple perspectives, to reflection on his fame and his journey to salvation.

1. While 360 is a good record, its instrumental (or at least its interpolations) is recycled so many times in this album SO MANY TIMES. It gets annoying after a certain extent cuz after you hear 3-4 tracks with the same beat and hoping the drop is different, it loses me.
