PURE ETHEREAL VIBES.
You just know the album is generational when you listen to the entire album without understanding a single thing she said and still feel so much in Elysium. The ultimate level 99 final boss night car drive album.
Fav: Frou-Frou Foxes In Midsummer Fires, Heaven or Las Vegas, Fotzepolitic

SHOULD'VE LET THE ALBUM BE INSTEAD OF RELEASING IT
But with all seriousness, you can tell it's like demos of each song without much polishing.
Fav: Let It Be, Across the Universe
Meh: Dig It, Maggie Mae
THE MAGNUM OPUS OF THE BAND AND THE BLUEPRINT FOR ROCK AND POP MUSIC THAT CAME AFTER!
Honestly, I was scared to review this one - what if I don't like it like the rest of you guys? It is quite highly rated, and once I listened, I GET IT. This is the BEST The Beatles has ever sounded, even though the band was on the verge of disbanding at the time. This is the undisputed Magnum Opus of The Beatles.
Fav: I Want You (She's So Heavy), Something, Golden Slumbers, Oh! Darling

THE RATING DOESNT DO THIS ALBUM JUSTICE!
I think it's purely because there are 30 songs, and most songs are in the mid to high 80's range, 86 is the average; however, for an album with 30 songs, that's a feat of its own. I have some of my favorite songs from The Beatles here.
Fav: While My Guitar Gently Weeps, Happiness Is a Warm Gun, Revolution 1
Meh: Wild Honey Pie
CONCEPTUAL HEAT START TO FINISH!
There is legitimately no bad song in this album. This album is avant-garde. INCREDIBLE
Fav: Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds, A Day in the Life, With a Little Help from My Friends

THERE ARE LAYERS TO THIS ALBUM I DIDNT CATCH.
My first listen to this album was not what I expected. I feel like the the songs are kind of getting denser with the psych rock sounds kicking in. Arguably their best work so far (but not the catchiest). This album will also grow on me which speaks on its own brilliance. 88 on first listen knowing full well, it'll grow better with more listens? Phew.
Fav: Here, There and Everywhere, Eleanor Rigby, Tomorrow Never Knows, Love You To

ARGUABLE CLASSIC?!
I LOVE this album. Very consistent, great shift in musical creativity, and my God, the songwriting has become so good. You can tell that this is the time when they started doing psychedelics because they are slowly switching from soul and R&B influence to prog rock and psych rock.
I just know this album is going to grow on me so much more than it already has. Norwegian Wood (This Bird Has Flown) and Michelle have a special place in my heart - shoutout Haruki ... read more
WE ARE SO BACK?
I feel like if I were in the 60s, I could imagine this album being like the most elite thing ever. Their songwriting has improved drastically, and much fluid production. Very consistent.
Yesterday is so fucking beautiful.
Fav: Yesterday, Help!, Ticket To Ride
Meh: Dizzy Miss Lizzy
THE MIDTLES ARE BACK!
But seriously, though, what happened? I feel like every progress they made in the last record just happened to be thrown out of the window. 70% of this album is so forgettable, and even then, the peaks are not high enough. A low point for sure.
Fav: No Reply, Eight Days a Week
Meh: Honey Don't, Words of Love
YOU CAN TELL THEY WORKED HARD FOR A DAY!
I feel like I notice a change in their approach to music, which would end up being revolutionary for The Beatles and music in general. There are some good deep cuts here, consistently above average in my opinion.
Fav: And I Love Her, I Should Have Known Better
Meh: I'll Cry Instead, When I Get Home
THE BEATLES AND MID IN THE SAME SENTENCE????
Somehow, this album is worse than their debut. The backend of this album is really forgettable.
Fav: All I've Got To Do, All My Loving, Till There Was You
Meh: Little Child, Hold me Tight
NOT BAD FOR AN ALBUM MADE DURING LUNCH BREAK.
John Lennon has one of the most distinguishable sounds ever. Also, why do they say honey like Winnie the Pooh? They also talk about love, a lot, LIKE A LOT.
Fav: Misery, Twist and Shout, A Taste of Honey
Meh: Chains, Boys
TRAVIS SCOTT'S MOST CONSISTENT PROJECT SINCE RODEO.
This album started with incredible potential, even higher than Rodeo, but then maybe its length plays against it. Taking out a good 4-5 songs out of it, still would've made it a better album. I understand some people's nitpicks about it being a Yeezus throwaway, but I look at it like "okay, Travis worked on Yeezus himself - I think Utopia is Yeezus if Travis had full creative control." and I walk away satisfied with ... read more
IT'S NOT AS BAD AS YOU THINK IT IS.
I think it just suffers from a lot of bloat. Remove half the tracks in this, and this would be a solid 85. I do respect the change in production he brought into this album; it was refreshing, but it does feel at the end of the album that most of these songs are leftovers from Rodeo.
Fav: pick up the phone, goosebumps, coordinate
Meh: guidance, lose, beibs in the trap
THE TRAVIS SCOTT EFFECT STRIKES AGAIN!!!
Great first half, almost an invertedly second half. It's almost as if the tracks were ruined by him 10 years after their release.
Fav: Quintana Pt. 2, Don't Play, Mamacita
Meh: BACC, Basement Freestyle, Sloppy Toppy
ONE OF THE BEST TRAP ALBUMS OF ALL TIME.
While this album also suffers from the "Travis Scott effect" (an effect I named when an artist goes all in on the first half so much so they forget that the second half is also important and therefore gets neglected), it does paint a very strong picture and holds for itself till the end (unlike his other projects). Easily his best project to date.

THIS IS NOT A TOP 100 ALBUM OF ALL TIME.
While the first half of this album was packed and cohesive, what lets this album does is its second half. Repetitive background music songs really take me out of my zone, songs that later define what a "generic Travis Scott fan" loves. Production is its highlight, rap is meh, but hey, I'm not looking for Travis Scott if I want bars.
Fav: STOP TRYING TO BE GOD, SICKO MODE, SKELETONS
Meh: WHO? WHAT!, WAKE UP, 5% TINT
PURE ART.
I was bound to listen to this sometime, and I'm so glad I did. Even though I think every track over here is so well made, the insane part about this is that I feel like there are tracks here that will grow on me massively. Beautiful.
Au Pays Du Cocaine is top 3 songs I've heard this year.
Fav: Au Pays Du Cocaine, Cobra, Long Island City Here I Come
Meh: Trinidad (although I do think it'll grow on me)
THE BONUS TRACKS SHOULD HAVE BEEN ON THIS.
Amazing start to this album, but it lost its momentum midway and a lot of bloat, especially the backend of the album.
Sometimes, maybe it just isn't enough.
Fav: Always, Let Me Go, Toronto 2014
Meh: Buyer's Remorse, Vincent Van Gogh, Pain Is Inevitable

HOLY GOSPEL. The choir and gospel influences in this are beautiful. His writing is so much better in this album compared to the rest. The features are very well picked as well, you know? Like you genuinely can't go wrong with Sampha, Yebba, Bon Iver, etc. AND HE DIDN'T GO WRONG. Sins of The Father is so beautiful, shit man.
A lot of times I thought he was speaking of being a new father and how that changed him, but then I realised, he never became a father. He is just ... read more
