Absolutely perfect modern shoegaze. The vocals are both rough and hazy, the synths ghost-like and guitars jagged, Casino Hearts meet perfectly at the intersection between shoegaze and noise pop with A Walk In The Grass, and in doing so make maybe my favourite EP to release this year (at least, so far). With an extremely limited catalogue despite making music for so long, I can only hope the yearly release schedule for EPs sticks around, as I for one cannot wait to hear more from these ... read more
With waifish vocals, grating guitar, and the occasional xylophone chime that sound almost childishly out of place in comparison to the rest of their instrumentation, Deadharrie crafts an album that feels lullful, yet intentionally so.
