The man, the myth, the legend.

Dubscribe - Rail Break
71

Okay, song aside, this cover art is beautiful.

Dubscribe - Embrace The Chaos EP
75

Embrace the Chaos doesn't do anything too crazy or out of the ordinary for a Dubscribe EP, but it sure does a pretty good job at making me bang my head. It's a fun listen, as tends to be with Dubscribe, and feels kinda brute force in an Excision-y way, but that's just who Dubscribe is: a fun guy who nails the vibe, and that's enough for me.

Embrace - 87/100 - Crazy guns in the drops, and extremely solid on all fronts. The choir in the drop adds a ... read more

Dubscribe - Real World
84

Pretty cool synth design and overall a solid track on all fronts, and the acid synths are used very well here. Honestly just a banger.

Dubscribe - Insane
72

"I feel like that's a good dubstep line" 🔥🔥🔥
While Insane fails to deviate from literally any of Dubscribe's other material, it's solid, and that's all you can really ask for from this man. He'll never do anything revolutionary, but he give you whiplash from headbanging.

Nimda - SWALLOW THE SOIL
88

This guy isn't human dude... this song is insane. Not only are the metal elements top notch, but the vocals too, something that is rarely true in the tearout scene, and don't even get me started on the basses. The snare in the first drop could be a little more distorted and loud though, although the opposite is true in the second.

1naya - I Could Take On the Taliban
25

It's not horrible, but I don't get why it has to exist. It's just kinda a bunch of random samples chopped and effected into a giant sloppy mess of sound.

Wolves in the Throne Room - Two Hunters
83

Atmospheric black metal tends to do best when it's really long, but this album felt like it dragged on without purpose. Most tracks are the same few elements repeated for ~10 minutes apiece, and while it has some great parts, it overall feels like it could've been condensed into 30 minutes at the most and still be just as good and evoke the same atmosphere. Regardless of that though, it's a very encapsulating listen that, albeit a bit messy at times, balances anger and atmosphere ... read more

Mammoth - I Really Wanna
59

And I really don't wanna.

Mammoth - The Spell
75

While it's less interesting and overall worse than the first single, it holds its ground well enough.

Mammoth - The End
83

Not the most original or ground breaking hard rock song ever, but a solid one nonetheless that is definitely a standout on the album.

Mammoth - The End
79

Thanks to my friend Gavin for the rec

My friend told me to listen to this like 4 months ago. I guess I finally got around to it I guess. As for the album though, it's pretty repetitive and has some songs that definitely don't hit as hard as some others, with the middle of the album being a bit uneventful and uninteresting, but there are some songs with a good amount of energy and ones that are pretty memorable. Not a bad last album by any means.

The Butcher Sisters - Ü30
100

The chorus is strangely addictive, but I couldn't tell you why. I just love this song inexplicably.

The Butcher Sisters - Klettergerüst
75

Not as fun as the rest of the album, but still good.

The Butcher Sisters - Cityroller
97

As if We Butter The Bread With Butter's 20 km/h wasn't good enough for a trancecore song about scooters, here we are.

The Butcher Sisters - Bierosaufus Ex
100

That snare in the breakdown literally sounds like a bomb. I get why it's called a snare bomb now. Anyways, "YABADABADABADABADABADABADOO" or something. Fun song.

The Butcher Sisters - Wacken
90

Interesting to say the least, but it's still a bop.

The Butcher Sisters - Herr Doktor
100

An entertaining metalcore track that just about sums up how the rest of Das Schwarze Album sounds.

The Butcher Sisters - White Monster
100

This coverart is beautiful.

The Butcher Sisters - Das Schwarze Album
100

I've been trying to find more music like We Butter The Bread With Butter, and I think I've done it. Das Schwarze Album is a really weird mix of electronic, metalcore, and trap that I'm all here for. It's a fun listen, keeping you on your toes throughout the entire 40 minutes, and is very unique as well, also with some crazy breakdowns and clever rhymes.
