I USED TO PRAY FOR TIMES LIKE THIS.
Waterbaby is one of my favorite underground pop artists, with her EP “Foam” being such a cute and quaint introduction into the bedroom pop scene.
With “Memory Be a Shade”, I am grateful to say we see a lot of the same with some additional musical development from the Stockholm-based artist.
She has a gorgeous voice, however I do feel that some songs can lack some structure that would make them so much more meaningful and ... read more
I was waiting for this EP to grow off of me, but after 5 months of it being in my rotation it still hasn't. This is some elite indie pop and the vibe on this album is just like having a crush for the first time. I just wish u can still come over was better because then this EP would be perfect in my opinion
In my opinion the greatest album of all time. More than deserving of its reputation, status, and fame that it has obtained over the years. Cannot say enough amazing things about this album. Amazing messages, Ms. Lauryn Hill is not only an amazing vocalist and lyricists but her rapping and even speaking performances are engaging and entertaining. I can’t say anything bad about this album. If you haven’t heard this, treat yourself.
This song is two steps away from being a Daniel Caesar cover of D’Angelo’s “Untitled (How Does It Feel)” but that’s a top 10 song like ever so yeah this song is pretty good
I’ve been sitting and relistening to this album over and over, maybe just waiting for the moment it would grow off me and the “new album hype” cycle would just die down. It didn’t. This album is absolutely amazing, very consistent, and every song has gotten stuck in my head at least once. In my opinion this is Jean Dawson at his best: unpredictable, uncontrollable, and infectious.

This is such a summery, pleasant listen. My favorite R&B album of the year.
Not a long review because to be honest there isn’t a whole lot to this album it’s just an enjoyable little treat. Can’t wait to see where Ward takes his music throughout the years.
Favorite Tracks: IDC, FAMJAM4000, WHITE CROCS, PRICETAG/BEVERLYWOOD, FORWARD, SIDEKICK (BONUS)
Least Favorite Track: DANCE MACHINE
Legendary. LEGENDARY performance from Davis on this masterpiece. Immaculate everything, the pinnacle of jazz perfection.
“Circles” isn’t an album I’m thrilled to love, or happy to be in the mood to listen to it, it’s just an album that I need to have in my life forever. This is a perfect send-off to Mac forever, fly high.
This album is gorgeous, harrowing, and relaxing all at the same time. This is truly special music and I’m lucky that I have the opportunity to listen to this type of music. Shit like this is just different, you know what I mean?

This. This is my favorite album of all time. This is the one… so why isn’t it a 100? Simply enough, I don’t think it’s a perfect album. Strap in, let me explain:
This album is my favorite for 3 reasons:
1. The sound (no shit)
2. The lyrics/story
3. The impact it has on Tyler’s overall career
Starting with the sound:
Yeah, this shit sounds amazing. This is the messiest beauty I’ve ever seen, like putting a superstar model through a car wash. It’s ... read more
Shit man, she got me. There’s so much I could say but it’s not even worth it, my fingers will hurt by the end. Here’s a few words to describe this experience:
- Beautiful
- Somber
- Serene
- Magnificent
- Relaxing
- Poetic
- Hypnotizing
- Eloquent
- Intimate
- PERFECT.

This is a mixtape that is almost impossible not to love. The pure energy, emotion, and style dripping off of Ritchie With a T and Stepa J Groggs makes this tape outstanding from front to back. The immaculate production from Parker Corey collaborated with passion with all verses on this tape is so impressive for such a young group at the time.
Their lyrics can go anywhere from hilarious such as on “All This Money” (“Yeah I’m out here killin’ shit, massacre, ... read more
If this album wasn't so goddamn long and bloated it would actually be really really good. Uzi just needs to be a rock artist at this point- wait CS?- never mind.
This album is wayyyyy too long to make a track-by-track so here are the highlights and lowlights of this album:
The intro couple tracks, "Flooded the Face" and "Suicide Doors" are great for completely different reasons. "Flooded the Face" isn't super adventurous but it's a super good Uzi song in general ... read more
As a big Kali Uchis fan, it's a great outing from her and I just wish it was a little more.
I don't love every single thing about this album but it's definitely worth listening. This one doesn't really inspire me to make a really long review so I will keep it relatively brief. Where Kali is just singing and making catchy ballads, breakup songs, or love anthems is where she shines on this project, such as it is with the lead single "I Wish You Roses" and the outstanding ... read more
Damn good gangsta trap music and that's about it. I got what I asked for and it was good while it was on. Not a long review on this one it's just good enough for me.
Modern art pop PERFECTION. Caroline illustrates her perfect vocal range and artistic vision all across this entire album. Every song on this thing is so grand, yet so subtle to the ears that it can appeal to any listener.
The opening "Welcome To My Island", other than the fact that it was a single, subverts expectations drastically. The high wailing on the beginning moments of the track completely contrast Polachek's low range in the beginning verse. The punching drums and synths ... read more
WOAH. Woah, woah, woah. This album is actually amazing and I don't know how he did it. He did psych rock but he did it in a way that's just HIM, while still appreciating and following the influences of the greats like Pink Floyd and Tame Impala.
The intro song, "the BLACK seminole." is just wild. It's everything I wasn't expecting, with the heavenly vocals on the back half to the scattering synths on the opening instrumental that feels like I'm stumbling through a sophisticated ... read more
About two years ago, this album was an 80 to me. About a year ago, this album was a 90. Guess what it is now.
There is nothing and I mean nothing bad about this album in the slightest. This album is innovative and experimental, yet somehow hides all of its groundbreaking aspects to those who aren't looking for it. To me, it just sounded like good music when I first heard it and nothing more, but I've learned to appreciate the emptiness that this album embraces. The experimental nature that ... read more
boygenius' "the record" is a saddening yet comforting release from the indie-rock/folk/alternative super-trio. Outside of their self-titled EP released 5 years ago, listeners haven't gotten to really appreciate this group's chemistry until now. And boy, isn't it fantastic.
The album actually starts off weak, with a very barebones a cappella (as an a cappella performance normally is) that lasts just under a minute and a half in length. The song, "Without You Without Them", ... read more
