Full of strong songwriting and vocals, it ends up sounding a bit too samey to reach excellence especially considering its lengthy runtime.
Consistently strong and sonically interesting. An excellent album from Annie Clarke.
I can't say anything here blew me away, but this is a strong and consistent album. Olivia Dean definitely has the makings of a star who can shine for a while.
It's opening half is one phenomenal track after another, but it can't quite keep its momentum. Ultimately, it's weaker back half waters down what should be an all time great.
An incredible sound mixed with phenomenal songwriting. An indisputable classic!
Inconsistent and lacking many true classics aside from Just Like Heaven, but still an excellent representation of how a band at the peak of their powers manages to impress even on their weaker records.
The Smiths on the verge of falling apart are still absolutely The Smiths!
Songs on this album are either pretty forgettable or amongst the best ever written.... so can't really complain.
It can be a bit inconsistent times, but Grande's vocal performance is absolutely top tier and when the production comes together we get some phenomenal pop music.
Most of the album is quite mediocre. Normally some strong hits would help bring this rating up, but three of the biggest songs off of this record are just awful. Delicate and Getaway Car save it.
A colossal record with enough good songs on it to craft a solid country album. Unfortunately, it is dragged down by many underwhelming and wholly unnecessary additions that dilute the quality of the entire package.
Any given song on this album is either one of the most iconic hits of the early 2010s or borderline un-listenable. Thankfully, there's quite a bit more of the former than the latter.
The Lemon Twigs remain the standard bearers for retro rock in 2026, but I think valid questions are emerging about how they can evolve their sound.
A wild time with fantastic production that's only missing some slightly more compelling lyricism.
