I personally think it's quite a consistant album. This one opens a massively era of metalcore and post-hardcore and have deep well written lyrics and great atmospheric and heavy melody. The scream can sound sharpy but it's all the interest here.

His voice is very enchanting, big summer vibe, and i like how it mix a lot of pop/rock genre of the 70's. i'm always afraid with this kind of band that sounding karaoke staying in a big retro vibe, but well, with The Lemon Twigs, it's always solid and kinda atypical.

Well, what could we expect from a band that doesn't deliver a great album since the second one ? They just ignore their roots, and what made The Killers interesting. A fresh pop new wave revival.

About the funny theories of new persons remplacing presumed dead celebrities (ps: avril lavigne) Brandon Flowers is an interesting one.

Few descents songs by the way

Yes, yes and yes. The album is a back to what makes The Front Bottoms so good. This is fully melancholic and there is a lot of catchy tune without being overproduced like it was in Going Grey .
The songwritting is so good, very consistant and all songs have something particulary on their own. I like a lot the spoken word passages, the screaming in Everyone Blooms, the rockin' desperate vibe of Leaf Pile, the nostalgia and the memories of a couple makes their album very empathic to listen.
