This is what I expected Other Voices to be like, because WOW, this was bad. Except for The Piano Bird which I did enjoy a little, this album has absolutely nothing going for it. Sometimes it's boring, sometimes it's really bad, mostly it's both of those together... No. Just no.
This was better than I thought it would be. To be honest, I'm shocked I enjoyed anything on here, but I genuinely liked Ships with Sails. Though that's about where my enjoyment ends. Musically this album was actually quite nice throughout quite a lot of the songs. The worst part about this album is are definitely the vocals for me, they either mostly don't land or sound like a bad impersonation of Jim Morrison. This could have been a lot worse than it was, but I still ... read more
This is easily my least favourite Doors album with Jim Morrison. Though this album has two of their best songs, those being the title track and Riders on The Storm, but it also has The WASP...
Overall just a bit disappointed with this one.
This album is pretty damn incredible. If the entire album had the consistency of the first six tracks, then it would be a 100, but the last five tracks dip in quality quite a lot in comparison. They definitely aren't bad, Indian Summer for instance is still a fantastic track. But it does lose it's quality a little in the latter half.
Though it's quite a big step down to their first two albums, there's still a lot of enjoyment to be found with this album.
Such an amazing song. The vocals are incredible, the lyrics are pretty great, the production is phenomenal... incredible.
Pretty easily their weakest album. Definitely still good, and it had some great moments, but overall I found the least enjoyment out of it as a whole.
Definitely a little step down from the previous few White Stripes albums, but definitely still very enjoyable for me.
I found a majority of this album absolutely incredible, though there were a few songs that didn't quite compare to the rest. Everything was still good though.
I didn't know what to expect going into this one, but either way it still exceeded whatever I thought I had coming. This album was nothing short of amazing.
Though it doesn't quite reach the highs like 'Jimmy The Explorer' or 'Do' from their debut, this album is overall quite a bit more consistent in it's quality.
A pretty bizarre debut here, with some moments a lot better than others but still overall being a very enjoyable album experience. Though this is quite an acquired taste, I have to say. Took me a few listens.
Coming from 'Songs for The General Public', their weakest album so far, we get to 'Everything Harmony', which is easily their strongest album so far and also the start of their genuinely great album run.
Pretty easily the band's weakest album. That being said, it was still enjoyable for a very large majority of the album.
