Diamond Dogs is still pretty amazing, though I think it's a slight step down from his previous original few albums. That said, songs like We Are the Dead, 1984, Diamond Dogs and obviously Rebel Rebel are absolutely incredible songs. Overall I enjoyed this album a lot.
Holy shit. This beats on this EP are insane. Everything about this is absolutely insane. I loved every second.
Quite easily TOOL's weakest. That said, it's still a pretty great album overall for me.
I don't think there's anything else I can say that I haven't said on any of my previous TOOL reviews. Just as the other TOOL albums, this one is incredible in basically every way.
One of my favourite soundtracks to one of my favourite films.
Definitely their weakest album so far, though still very enjoyable. Come To Dust is probably the first Boards of Canada song I've heard which I didn't fully enjoy. It wasn't bad at all, but also not nearly as good as their other tracks.
It's definitely little bit of a step down from Music Has The Right To Children and Geogaddi. BUT that being said, this album is still pretty incredible.
Crazy how they make Music Has The Right To Children, wait for four years, and then come back with this is absolutely insane. Everything I said about Music Has The Right To Children applies to this album too. The ambience is incredible. It's so well put together that the final listening experience is nothing short of amazing.
This album dives a little deeper into their eerie sound. Sure, Music Has The Right To Children already had it's fair share of eerie moments, but this album just ... read more
The ambience on this album is nothing short of incredible. The soundscapes created here are beautifully crafted and because of that, absolutely amazing to listen to.
I didn't give this album a fair shot for a long time. Safe to say I enjoyed it a lot more than I thought I would.
This was much better than I could have ever thought. I was lowering my expectations slightly for this and ended up REALLY enjoying the album all the way through. 'Winter Rose / Love Awake' I thought was genuinely amazing. Overall, this was much better than I could have ever anticipated.
This was very different to what I was expecting. Not as good as the previous few Wings album, but still very enjoyable.
