Literal perfection. The nostalgia this brings me is immeasurable.
This is genuinely one of the worst album covers I've ever had the displeasure of looking at. The quality of the album isn't quite as bad, but it's not good either.
The majority of this album is some of the most boring music I've ever listened to.
I have to be honest. The reason I never really gave this album a chance is because of the cover. I was pleasantly surprised, though the cover is still pretty atrocious IMO
This was very pleasantly surprising.
How THE David Bowie made a boring album, I will never know. But he did, and this is it. This was both boring and bad.
I just didn't enjoy this very much. The title track and Ricochet were pretty good, but the rest is just sort of eh.
I enjoyed this album quite a lot, but I can't bring myself to find it truly love this album. It's definitely one of his best post "Heroes" albums.
Despite there still being some pretty great moments on here, I found this be an overall step down to most previous original work Bowie put out up to this point.
One of the last Bowie I found to be truly great. A few that came after are still great. Especially Blackstar. But aside from that I don't think much after this compares to it.
I enjoyed this A LOT more than I thought I would. Especially that latter half is absolutely phenomenal.
An absolutely INCREDIBLE album. Station to Station and Wild Is the Wind are definitely my two big highlights of the album, though Stay is also incredible.
I do think this album is more consistently good than Diamond Dogs, though I don't think there's quite a high as Rebel Rebel. Overall I did enjoy this album a lot.
