Definitely not bad. Pretty good still, even I would say, but it doesn't have the charm or uniqueness of Rush's earlier albums. It feels like just another Grace Under Pressure. But that's just me.
This is the point in Rush's discography where I start losing interest. It's still good, but this is nothing all too special for Rush standards.
One of the best prog albums ever made in my opinion. Absolutely amazing in every way. This is also the album that concludes Rush's golden era in my opinion.
A borderline perfect album in my opinion. Every song on here is an incredible listen, both on it's own and in the context of the album. Incredible.
The second album of what I would consider Rush's golden era. An absolutely incredible album front to back. The first track is definitely my favourite, but except for Circumstances, which is still good, I think every song either is or borders perfection in my opinion.
This is where I think Rush's golden era of albums begins. This album is absolutely incredible from beginning to end. Both long tracks on the album 'Xanadu' and 'Cygnus X-1 Book I' are absolutely incredible. Closer To The Heart is phenomenal. And though I feel the other three don't quite hit that level, they're all still pretty great.
Definitely a little bit of a regression here from Fly By Night, but overall still enjoyable.
Fly By Night is so incredibly different to the debut, and definitely for the better. Obviously that's due to Neil Peart joining the band, and I believe taking over the songwriting. And for the majority, it shows.
My main problem with this album, and most of Yeat's projects for that matter is that with some songs he experiments like crazy. Dangerous House is a really out there song and my personal favourite song on the album. But then he also makes songs like What I Want which is one of the most bland, boring and typical Yeat songs I've ever heard.
There's some other songs on here that I genuinely enjoy, like the opener Purpose General, Griddlë, NO MORE GHOSTS and 2Nite. Then ... read more
A very enjoyable EP. I enjoyed every song on here quite a bit. Some definitely more than others, but I got a fair amount of enjoyment out of every song.
Thanks to the guy who found this album in a random music store and kept it from being lost... because holy shit...
