There's nothing necessarily bad about this album. I didn't hate anything on here, and there were a handful of songs I liked on here, but this is not even anywhere close to the quality of their first six albums.
This is the last good Black Sabbath album in my opinion. And it's absolutely phenomenal at that.absolutely fantastic. Personally I also believe that his alongside Paranoid is the best vocals Ozzy ever gave on an album. From front to back, this album is absolutely fantastic.
I think this is the worst album out of the first six Sabbath albums, though not by much. And as you can tell by the rating, I still like this album a lot.
Very good still, though definitely not to the quality of their first three albums. The opener did set my expectations a little too high, as in my opinion nothing else on the album quite matches it in terms of quality, though this album was still very enjoyable from front to back.
For the longest time, I found this album to be quite overrated, and though I still don't think it's a perfect album, this album has grown on me quite significantly.
An incredible debut record from Black Sabbath. The fact that this was their first and not their third or fourth really shows the quality of Black Sabbath's earlier discography.
I absolutely love stuff like this. This isn't pleasant. I could basically copy my review for John Fruciante's Niandra LaDes and Usually Just a T-Shirt, and it would apply perfectly to this. It's not for everything, and I think it's totally valid if this is a 0/100 for someone, but I love stuff like this.
It exists. It's pleasant, but not an album I'm interested in listening to again. That's literally all I have to say about this album.
It's definitely a lot better than the album that came before it. It's good for the most part, but I'd listen to most of Pink Floyd's other albums before this.
It's not bad. Not good either. I feel very mixed about it, because there were a few songs I liked, a few I didn't and a few I don't feel anything for. Very mixed.
I could definitely understand why someone would not like this at all. In fact, I think that's a very reasonable opinion to have on this album. But I adore stuff like this. This album isn't a comfortable experience whatsoever, but that's what I like about it. I personally love almost anything avant-garde or anything adjacent to it, so this is right up my alley. Again, not for everyone. I'd argue not for the majority. But personally, I love it.
Probably my least favourite up to this point, but as you can see by the rating I still absolutely love this song.
The songs by themselves are already near perfect in my opinion. But as a whole album experience from start to finish, this is perfect in my opinion.
To think this is the same guy who made 'Voice Memos' is actually insane. This album is genuinely amazing. The atmosphere and ambience is insanely dreamy and slightly eerie. Overall a damn near perfect album in my opinion.
An absolutely phenomenal soundtrack to an absolutely phenomenal documentary.
Though there's nothing inherently bad about this album, there's not too much that's good either. It definitely wasn't worth waiting five years for.
This album really blew me away by good it was. Though I didn't have low expectations, they weren't the highest either, but I'm happy to say that I was very pleasantly surprised.
