This album encapsulates a certain manic energy that I resonate with heavily. Once the bassline in the title track kicks in, I feel like I'm being warped to another plane

The synthpop sound of Cause and Effect breathes some fresh air into Keane's sound. In a way, this feels like a better executed Strangeland, especially in regards to the songwriting. Songs like You're Not Home, Put the Radio On, Strange Room, and Thread reinvigorated my love for the band once I actually listened for the first time
