Pixel Terror - MONSTERS
10

I'm not anti-riddim by any means, but the thing about riddim is that you have to have a certain finesse to make it work.

Pixel terror does not have that finesse.

ISOxo - FUCK THE SPEAKERZ UP
70

Fun enough, but Iso, you're not a rapper, it's ok.

Skrillex - hit me where it hurts x
90

Very good.

I've only come to love this song more and more since it was released. It just does everything right. I don't know quite what else to say.

eccentric - technician
80

Hooolly. A total slapper top to bottom.

ALLEYCVT - BELIEVE
50

I feel like I could go to Soundcloud and find a random song that sounds almost identical to this.

Viperactive - LOUDER
85

Really liking the trappy direction Dillion Francis has gone in recently

Westside Gunn - HEELS HAVE EYES 3
NR

I think this westside gunn person likes wrestling guys

i_o - ACID 444

Guys.

I might like techno.

Autechre - Amber
70

What I said in my other Autechre review applies here. It's fine.

Subtronics - Scream Saver
72

This EP is really good, but the title track is harmed it being so, so overplayed.

i_o - House of God
65

I'm not that into techno so ymmv.

This was ok. Clean production, nice vocal samples, and interesting ideas. It's okay.

Sora - re.sort

I really want to meet the person who made this album to poke their brain. The production is so sublime, and it makes for a deeply relaxed yet engaging experience.

Autechre - Tri Repetae
70

That's an album, alright. I'm not super into this type of IDM, so take my opinion with a large serving of salt, but that was a thoroughly alright album. Not sure I'd listen to it again, but it's fine for what it is.

Jiqui - HOTFIX
60

Huh.

This EP is a mixed bag, because there are some great tracks on here, but also a lot of stuff that's just whatever.

Chris Lake - Chemistry
80

Didn't expect much going in, but found myself pleasantly surprised by the end. Pretty good all things considered.

Jkyl & Hyde - Second Self
65

The hardest part about wanting more artistic integrity within the Dubstep scene is that not every artist is going to go in a direction I like.

roi* - Intelligent Riddim
65

I respect the attempt at doing something more sensitive here, and it mostly works. I'm just not a fan of this style of riddim.

Skrillex - fuze
85

A throwback I never knew I needed

Au5 & Prismatic - Invasion

On 889's review of KILLMATTER - HELLDUST88 (REFLEX)
"I reads as if a lot of the personality that made Disciple what it once was has been stripped from it, and they think that the label can run off of brand recognition alone. Which, in fairness, might not be entirely wrong if the song selection manages to be consistently decent to good."
On MelCollector's review of Asper - DANGER
"NGL, I liked it better when the bar was on the side. It made the covers feel like they could be CD's idk."
On DubstepIsDead's review of Dylan Brady - Needle Guy
"Whenever a project is rated by non-edm fans it seems to get a lower score than it really deserves. Not always, but often enough that it makes a pattern."

"Space Laces, give me a full version of Whip It and I will do whatever you want."
On SVDDEN DEATH - Shallow Land Burial (Wooli Remix)
"@OctoMarkus the voyd compilations felt like a love letter to the Dubstep scene. This remix feels like Wooli got his hands on the SLB stems and slapped them on a track he already had made for clicks."
On OctoMarkus's review of Whales - Rise
"No amount of warning could have prepared me for that drop. Funniest song I've heard all week."
On OctoMarkus's review of Pixel Terror - TEARS DON'T FALL
"You said what I've been thinking for a while now. Compared to the Upgrade EP, Pixel Terrors new direction pales in comparison imo."
