MUERTE - THE BEEHIVE INSIDE HER SKULL
90

Not classically trained btw

TYNAN - TYNAN TIME
75

Shout out Smoke Break frfr.

Tynan's debut album is a long time coming. It's a bit hit or miss, often falling back into a stompy, heavy dubstep flow that loses its novelty quickly. But when it's good, it can be pretty good. Home has my mark for being the best track on the album due to its sublime mixture of melodicness and heaviness, and the Space Wizard collab actually exceeded my expectations, and the second drop of do the thing is crazy. Of course, this album also has ... read more

TYNAN - bum rush

I never thought I'd find myself actually kinda enjoying a space wizard song.

Huh.

Virtual Riot - Best of Me
80

I'm really looking forward to this album.

Excision - A.F.B.1.
30

pryda snare lol.

Not a very interesting song otherwise.

Kompany - DISAPPEAR
65

That's a tearout track.

HOL! - MALFUNCTION
69

That's a Hol and Eptic collab all right.

Getter - DOOM
70

Getters first EP in four year is a nice return to form.

Azikazin Magic World - Memory Overdrive
88

It's crazy the stuff a random youtube video will put you onto.

Veltpunch - Crawl
95

This will probably be my go to example for how to make a song feel dynamic. The way the songs switches from more intimate moments to an aggressive rock sound is phenomenal.

Riot Ten - Dominator
35

Riot ten, more like bad amiright?

Crankdat - Candy Shop Remix
20

I expected nothing and found my expectations met.

PEEKABOO & G-Rex - Babatunde (Remixes)
NR

The eliminate remix is the high that everyone who makes "wonky" dubstep has been trying to reach only to fail miserably.

Crankdat - Movement

This sounds like a Subtronics track. But not like, one of the good ones with actual life and energy, but one of the bad ones that relies more on memes to carry it as opposed to making a memorable track. I've said this time and time again, but I truly despise this type of track that tries to be "weird" and "quirky" and whatever, but only ends up being some of the most stale, derivative music I've ever heard.

Credit where it's due, the sound design is pretty ... read more

PEEKABOO - Answer All My Prayers

However good you think this track is, based on the names attached is probably accurate.

LYNY - Noise To Dance To

This album made me dance. Goal completed.

On 889's review of KILLMATTER - HELLDUST88 (REFLEX)
"I reads as if a lot of the personality that made Disciple what it once was has been stripped from it, and they think that the label can run off of brand recognition alone. Which, in fairness, might not be entirely wrong if the song selection manages to be consistently decent to good."
On MelCollector's review of Asper - DANGER
"NGL, I liked it better when the bar was on the side. It made the covers feel like they could be CD's idk."
On DubstepIsDead's review of Dylan Brady - Needle Guy
"Whenever a project is rated by non-edm fans it seems to get a lower score than it really deserves. Not always, but often enough that it makes a pattern."

"Space Laces, give me a full version of Whip It and I will do whatever you want."
On SVDDEN DEATH - Shallow Land Burial (Wooli Remix)
"@OctoMarkus the voyd compilations felt like a love letter to the Dubstep scene. This remix feels like Wooli got his hands on the SLB stems and slapped them on a track he already had made for clicks."

"No amount of warning could have prepared me for that drop. Funniest song I've heard all week."
On OctoMarkus's review of Pixel Terror - TEARS DON'T FALL
"You said what I've been thinking for a while now. Compared to the Upgrade EP, Pixel Terrors new direction pales in comparison imo."
