After Hours is an album that sees The Weeknd trying a lot of new ideas, but at times falling short.
Highlights: Scared To Live, Heartless, Faith, Blinding Lights, In Your Eyes
“Alfredo” is a solid showing from Freddie and The Alchemist, making this an easy listen and a consistent project.
Favorite Tracks: God Is Perfect, Scottie Beam, Something To Rap About, Baby $hit, All Glass
Through its creative structure, worthwhile performances from the features, and strong production, “NOT ALL HEROES WEAR CAPES” makes for one of the better producer albums you can find.
Favorite Tracks: Overdue, Don’t Come Out The House, Dreamcatcher, Space Cadet, 10 Freaky Girls, Up To Something, Borrowed Love, No More, No Complaints
“Birds in the Trap Sing McKnight” is a decent trap album in itself, but is much weaker when compared with his 2015 debut, Rodeo. Though there are some solid tracks throughout this LP, a decent amount of what is put on here sounds like throwaway material. This is probably his worst album so far, and I will stand by that opinion. Not to discredit some of his strongest tracks to date like “through the late night” (though carried by Kid Cudi), and “goosebumps.” ... read more
“Lil Uzi Vert vs. The World 2“ (shortened to LUV vs. The World 2), is the third studio album by Philadelphia rapper Lil Uzi Vert. Along with Eternal Atake, Uzi released a double album that has become among the most notable this year.
Despite this album not impressing me too much, there are not many bad tracks and some that could grow on me in the future. What really helps this LP excel at its highest points is the strong production that is contained throughout. It is handled by ... read more
GREAT
This is probably one of Trippie’s most energetic songs to date, and that has to be the best quality to the track. The chorus is also really good, which includes points where you can really feel his vocals. His verses are also more entertaining and longer than usual, giving him some time to get fun lines in the mix. Travis Scott also has a solid feature verse on this track, and the line “Astroworld’s my planet, my home” always hits hard considering how great of an ... read more
After having a fairly positive reception of ALLTY3, I’m not sure of how much I enjoyed this album. This album lacks the varied production that was all over the other Trippie project I just mentioned. Some of the songs structurally could do a little better, as they struggled to keep me entertained more times than not. A lot of this LP consists of songs that are just average. There are only a few good tracks. Maybe I wasn’t in the right mood to hear this, but it didn’t impress ... read more
Trippie Redd was at his best in 2018, with some of the strongest cuts on this mixtape proving that. If this project was more consistent, my rating would be much higher. “A Love Letter To You 3” is a decent to good tape that is an essential listen for someone trying to get into Trippie. The production throughout this is really strong, which prevents some of the weaker tracks from going into the bad range. Even though it’s not great, there’s a lot to offer here, and I wish ... read more
With his eighth studio effort, Future comes with a mix of old and new tricks that develop into a decent album. He continues to go in auto pilot, at times succeeding, and this LP shows a lot of what defines him as an artist. Even though I might not like those things as much as others, I respect “High Off Life” and think it’s a fairly solid addition to Future’s discography. Hopefully some of these songs grow on me over time.

This just went down 5 scores after Fantano’s NOT GOOD review, are we serious? Have your own opinions lmao.
Although Drake improves on his previous album, Scorpion, the end result on this mixtape isn’t too outstanding either. There’s a fair amount of good songs, but the track listing is too inconsistent to be built into a cohesive project. Even though I’m not the biggest fan of this tape, I’m still excited for Drizzy’s upcoming album this summer. I see potential in it, as these demos contain some of his most engaging songs I’ve heard from him in a while. He’s ... read more
GREAT
An enjoyable listen with Lil Uzi’s signature energy that can win me over. His vocals fit perfectly over the standout production. The two EA bonus tracks are each some of the best on the album in my opinion.
GREAT
A really fun single from Lil Uzi that is one of his most unique tracks to date.
After getting to know each of these songs personally, I’m finally able to share my final thoughts on this album. In this rating, I didn’t include the bonus tracks. I really enjoy both of them, and if the whole album was at their level, I would have this at a higher rating. Even though I’m not crazy about this LP, I think it’s an important statement during this time period. It is a noteworthy representation of today’s most popular form of music, trap hip hop (in ... read more

Unlike many of these reviews suggest, there’s nothing too crazy on this track. It’s definitely not bad though, and it has me excited for the new album on the way. I’m sure that it will top the quality of this promotional single. Even though there are good qualities about this track, there’s not really anything outstanding about it either. I’ll take it, and it’s great to see Rashad back after such a long break.

I almost put this in the best category, and it’s my favorite track I’ve labeled meh this week. Even though I haven’t listened to any of Soul’s music previously, it’s nice to see him back in the rap game after four years. Because of his TDE affiliation, I’ve heard good things about him and his albums like Control System and Do What Thou Wilt, and he also made some contributions to Kendrick’s Section.80 album. The replay value and some boring spots ... read more

It’s a pretty nice vibe throughout, but I wish James Blake’s vocals were stronger. Not bad though, I’ll take this track and it may grow on me over time if I continue to listen. Definitely has potential.
GREAT
Despite the fairly mixed reviews with this song, I’m really happy with this so far. It’s only supposed to be a bonus track for his FEET OF CLAY EP, so I wasn’t expecting too much substance coming into this track. Earl has been killing it with some chill tracks lately, and this one delivered on that for sure. The beat by The Alchemist is haunting and dark, and complements Earl and Maxo well. Earl killed his part on here, giving some of his best rapping I’ve heard ... read more
TRASH
Wow, this was really bad. There is nothing that gives this replay value, and the lack of song structure is appalling. On his last two projects, Uzi sometimes had issues with his vocals sounding irritating. In most instances, I could get past it though, as I thought each of them were at least decent. But this, this is on another level. The style Uzi has is better when it’s put into shorter songs with bouncy beats. That’s why when I saw the four minute song length, I was a bit ... read more
