took me far to long to actually check this out. heart of darkness is definitely the highlight for me, being such a journey with that amazing drawn out harmonic based ending. love story is the close second, with the most beautiful piano led intro and amazing lyrics throughout. honestly only opposite teacher drops the ball for me in this album.
finally came around to this, i see it as a much more stripped back version of what she was doing on revengeseekerz, with some of the more conventional approaches she took in both frailty and census designated. in a lot of places this stripped down approach allows a greater appreciation for the intricacy of the soundscape she's creating when compared to the wall of sound that is revengeseekerz, especially on tracks like how to teleport, so what? and later parts of magic I want you. grown on me after i gave it time to breathe, definitely stands with their pre Isaac leaving catalog, altho i still think they should be releasing under a different name tbh
this album blows everything jane has done prior out the water. tbh it blows most music ive ever listened to out the water
really fuzzy, as asian glow always is. i find it hard to differentiate a lot of their songs but the title track, feel all the time and untitled*3 jumped out at me on first listen
its the same fucking detuned open chord for 40 minutes straight with like 2 decent songs that actually try to do something at all. its just so lazy for the most part
the 4 deluxe songs are like so much better than anything off the main album its actually tragic π₯π₯ππ
