Listened to this a while back but forgot to rate it ig. Anyways, very happy album, extremely hard to hate on because the vibes are just so good.

Best: Title track, They say, the food, Its your world, Go!
Worst: Testify

Has some great standouts but the rest of the album is very slept on. Title track has obviously one of the most beautiful concepts in a rap song. But idk why people be sleeping on neighbors. This song is a storytelling masterpiece on racial profiling and his resigned tone on the last lyrics (so much for integration/dont know what i was thinkin) is heartbreaking. Imo, this song is on par with title track and is deserving of a 94-96. Rest of the album is also great.

Feels very uncohesive with the all over the place production and super short tracks.

Listened to this on a plane and was half asleep so i dont remember much. The one thing i do remember is the back half of the album is not the best.

Best: My Philosphy, Ya slippin, Illegal business
Worst: t'cha t'cha

Yes its a classic, yes its massively influential, but outside of the three top rated tracks, the album is just ok.

Worst: Chinese arithmetic

Solid textbook NY boom bap. One of my biggest complaints is that some of the songs like 9mm goes bang didnt have the best lyricism, while other tracks show they are capable of some good bars.

Best: South Bronx, Poetry, Remix for P is free, Criminal Minded
Worst: Super hoe

I dont know much about music and genres and all that, but how is this not rock rap. This is the first and only time i have suggested a genre. So glad to see Baby Keem back. I thought he was done after his debut and gave up hope on another release. Now just waiting on Frank Ocean.

Wasnt huge on this one but it had the occasional hit.

Great storytelling and rhymes on this one. Crazy disparity between ratings for J dilla's "One for Ghost" (88 as of rn) and Whip you with a Strap (79), the song that uses the beat. Wish that song got more love.

Definitely deserves the must listen but the track ratings are very inflated.

First Cole album and i see what the hype is about. Overall solid album that really plays to his strengths. Some of the track ratings are way too low though.

Didnt have insanely high hopes for this one because I assumed an 8 year break would not be helping at all. I expected something similar to Testing but was pleasantly surprised by the quality.
