This album would be ok if they didn't mention their names so fuckin much. That sounds like a weird complaint but they say their names like genuinely 180 or so times. There is not a single song on here where they don't just say their names. It also gets really weird on tracks like "Super Hoe" where Krs keeps talking about how hot and sexy Scott La Rock is. See, I'm a crusty oldhead and I can't get into this. While 90's hip hop is absolutely the peak of the genre in my eyes, stuff this old usually fails to leave too much of an impact on me. I can understand the influence, but the listening experience is just far too slow and simple compared to the music it influenced that came after it. although rather pretentious at times, this record stands as an influential and undeniable staple in the hip-hop genre. personally I prefer the second side of this record - an essential listen if you love boom-bap!

surprisingly good, no joke
KRS got some impressive flows especially for his time whenever he finds a pocket, and when he can't find one, he raps like the stereotypical 80's rapper whose flows people imitate or do a lazy impression of whenever they want to demonstrate how Rakim has changed flows forever
the production is super bare bones, and they blend together so much. combining that with the "steady" flows from KRS, the album just sounds like 3 huge songs

Criminal Minded je jedno z nejikoničtějších rapových alb vůbec a je to definitivně klasika. Ale je to tak dobrý jak mnoho lidí říká. Má odpověď je ANO. Toto album má na svou dobu velmi dobrou produkci, ze kterou si Scott La Rock vyhrál. Toto album nemá žádný miss.
