The more polished version is a major step up but still not great. Hopefully V3 is ok.
I like some of the instrumentals, but this album feels like a bad combination of big 90's bands.
Besides Rocket Skates, the songs are usually really solid, with several standouts(Diamond Eyes, Beauty School, Sextape, Risk, 976-EVIL). This album also has the best sound from what I've head from Deftones.
This album took a long time to truly hit me, but god damn it hits now. Passenger and Digital Bath are phenomenal.
Incredible and terrifying. This album makes me feel like tar is flowing through my veins. grimace_somking_weed.jpeg is a phenomenal track that I never want to listen to again :)
Loser is incredible, but unfortunately blows everything else out of the water. Nothing is bad, but Beercan is the only other track that comes close to Loser.
Not as good as the ST, but still a very consistent project. Overall a pretty easy listen, and being shorter than an hour was the right choice.
Pretty solid, Flower, All Your Lies, Mood For Trouble, Nazi Driver, Head Injury and Incessant Mace are all bangers.
I appreciate the more experimental approach to this album, but some of it is boring as hell and doesn't work. Applebite, for example, isn't bad, but the instrumental is very repetitive and the lyrics normally bad to meh, with some occasional standouts. Never Named sounds generic(idk how to explain it), Dusty is bland. Ty Cobb is hilariously bad. An Unkind is just there. Boot Camp is an ok end, but nothing that stands out. Fortunately for every boring and bad moment on this album, ... read more
Somehow this song got more overplayed then million dollar baby and carnival. The lyrics are good, but the instrumental is terrible. Easily the worst of kdots disses. I genuinely cannot stand to listen to this song 15 times every hour on ig reels. I can't stand this song anymore.
This song is much better as a cultural moment than as a song.
Yes its great. Best of all time, no.
My main problem with this album is(to me at least) most of the tracks blend together. Besides some songs that stand out to me(u, alright, complexion, how much a dollar cost, the blacker the berry, mortal man), this album just flows in a way where they just pass by. The jazz instrumentals work but feel underwhelming, but that might be because I'm more of a rock guy than rap/jazz rap. I also think that gkmc worked better and was better produced. Overall, ... read more
