I can't physically give an album that made me laugh so much a low score. CupcakKe is an incredible entertainer and I look forward to everything she releases from now on.
Daft Punk deliver a great showcase of what makes electronic music good. An issue I have with a lot of electronic music is how it does the same thing over and over again without changing much, and while Discovery is a repetitive album, it has so many subtle builds and removal of sound throughout the runtime causing it to feel a lot more interesting. Not to mention that the sample chopping is incredibly well executed, and the whole album just sounds great the whole way through. Must ... read more
Radiohead takes all of the great aspects of their previous albums, and combines them into one great album. The whole way through it is incredibly relaxing and peaceful (with the exception of Bodysnatchers). Thom's voice is at its peak here, he sounds great the whole way through. Great album for a relaxing evening. Must Listen.
Favourite Songs: Jigsaw Falling Into Place, All I Need, Weird Fishes / Arpeggi, Nude, Bodysnatchers
While not as consistent as Origin Of Symmetry, Absolution has arguably even higher highs, and is still a great showing from Muse. Highly recommend.
90s alt rock at its finest. I love the slow burning songs like Hummer, and Soma, the headbangers like Quiet and Silverfuck go hard as hell, and Mayonaise may just be the best song to come out of the 90s. The album flows so well, and there is never a moment where I'm not invested. Must Listen
Favourite Songs: Mayonaise, Soma, Luna, Silverfuck, Quiet
This album gives very little breaks in how heavy it is, while also delivering a very powerful message supporting care for the environment. The band is very tight, and Joe's voice sounds great and fits in very well. Mario's drumming is almost machine like, and the guitar tones are very pleasant to the ears. Must Listen.
Favourite Songs: Flying Whales, Global Warming, To Sirius, Backbone, World to Come
Gojira delivers a very personal, heavy, and emotional album dedicated to Joe and Mario Duplantier's late mother. I love the utilisation of pitch shifted guitars a lot on this, even if they aren't used too frequent. Joe's voice is very versatile and overall sounds really good throughout the album. I love a lot of the lighter songs that break up the ass this album kicks. There were some songs like Pray and the instrumentals that don't do as much for me as the others, but ... read more
Easily System in their rawest form. An incredibly energetic, chaotic, and dark album, with very little studio magic to elevate it (which isn’t needed at all). Must Listen
Favourite Songs: Spiders, Sugar, Peephole, War?, Mind
Surprisingly relaxing. Great album to throw on for a late night drive. Some songs stood out a bit more than others, but overall it was pretty consistent the whole way through. Chino also still sounds great for 2025. Strongly Recommend
System Of A Down are the masters of making metal that sounds insane while simultaneously cohesive. Very strong messaging and overall very consistent. Highly recommend.
Favourite Songs: B.Y.O.B, Question!, Radio/Video, Lost In Hollywood, Cigaro
Very desperate, angry, and horny. Accompanied by some sick sounding guitar riffs and tones, and a voice that fits everything mentioned before. Strongly recommend
