a brilliant debut, helping them escape the twenty one pilots copycat allegations following 3, now, not yet is just a solid album with some really cool religious and introspective undertones that i appreciate.

i might be a little biased, this album helped me through a really tough time + seeing them live in feb '23 and the setup they had for that tour. it definitely isnt for everyone, i can understand how some find it boring and generic but i cant help but really enjoy this album. there are some really emotional moments, for example the closer, lost, as well as did i make you up and call back. these along with the tracks focused more on moving on and rediscovering yourself make for a very ... read more
i really dont want to do a SAI review yet. clancy may have disappointed a few people at first, with everyone hoping for trench 2.0, but that was never going to be the case. its a continuation and culmination of the story, not a repeat of albeit their best album and i feel this disappointment was due to overcompensate being the lead single, having a much darker, jumpsuit esque feel to it. clancy has really high highs, and only one or two lows, but those lows are quite low. snap back is a ... read more
this is gonna piss a lot of people off but i do not understand the hype about this album. yes it's fun and playful at times, with a couple of really nice influences found in the instrumentals, but the majority of the tracks just dont do it for me. im definitely not in the target audience, but i just cant enjoy most of the music. i appreciate what charli's attempted to do, and that target demographic love the album. i just think its overrated with only a handful of stand out tracks. ... read more
the most crazy, all over the place and insane production in recent years yet it works so well. peggy and brown complement eachother brilliantly, the feature from redveil is unreal as well.

a beautiful and heart wrenching album, this is tylers best by far. this, flower boy and cmigyl really show how much he has matured both as a person and artist, looking back to his edgy and messier early albums. my personal favourite album ever.

nothing i can say about this record that hasnt been said before. possibly the best hip hop album of all time.
by far their best record. the storytelling and emotional, sometimes dark lyrics make up for an incredible project. the production from paul meany really steps it up as well. with a wide range of different styles, such as the heavier approach they take in jumpsuit, the more mellow sounding smithereens and the hard hitting neon gravestones show that joseph and dun are capable of making mature, cohesive and ambitious music. its a shame that this was followed up with such a mediocre album in scaled ... read more
if there was ever an example of style in music i feel this album would be it. its a very refreshing take on pop, the strings are beautiful, the hip hop influence and sense of nostalgia bring some very interesting elements to her sound. whilst her vocals are really pretty, on a few tracks theyre really cheesy and kind of generic. theres a a lot of really good tracks but the album is let down by some forgettable, cliche sounding tracks and some where the production is sort of over-perfected and ... read more
