My manager has played several songs from this album at work such as Perfect Places and The Louvre and I personally enjoyed both of those songs. Checking this album out has been long overdue for me since I’ve been a fan of what Lorde has done for many years now but never listened to one of her full albums.
It’s 1:41 P.M. on a raining Sunday in Indiana and this has easily been the highlight of my week. I already know I’ll be playing this nonstop for years to come.
Besides Bus Stop I don’t know if i’ve ever been more bored and uninterested in an album in my life. I used to love this album when it first came out too but damn
Overall this album is just too inconsistent in sound. Brent can make a great song and there are many cases of that on this album from songs like Angel, Dead Man Walking, etc. but for every good song there’s an extremely boring one that holds no value to me. The skits however do make this album what it is and do improve the listening experience. Not bad but not necessarily good

On my 4th or 5th listen now can’t quite remember but it is still a bit bloated. The highlights are extremely strong though
I won’t say it’s great, but this site never fails to show its cringe tribalism
