I'm pretty much tone-deaf when it comes to production, but even I can tell this sounds like ass.
I'm sorry Spencer, but you don't have the voice to pull off hair metal.
Expected to hate this. True, it is generic, middle-of-the-road pop subgenre, but at least it can come up with a decent rhythm.
Their experimentation with pop and metal probably works better here than anything else I've heard from them, including those that I've rated higher than this one. But I can't fully embrace it because this annoying Ed Sheeran-type beat is just not my type of music at all.

The lyrics can veer into cheesiness, but these bands bounce off each other pretty well. And this cheesy-ish song is coming at the exact right time.
Just re-listened to it for the first time without the music video. Felt weird hearing the song without wondering what the hell I was watching.
First time I heard it, I gave it a 54 for not being particularly memorable. But now, after hearing it again, it has a good sound and is more memorable than I gave it credit for.
Really shouldn't work as well as it does.
This is the kind of thing that I should hate, but, for some reason, I don't.
