70->85
underrated and completely forgot how fire this was
I don’t love jeezy and the hook on see you in my nightmares but besides that it’s great
No words... (LONG REVIEW BELOW)
To preface this experience before I go into it, I had went to bed at 7:30 pm last night and woke up around 3 am. I kinda find steppa pig and scaring the hoes overrated, the rest fire
Giving me flashbacks to the Ocarina of Time owl
Idk what to even rate this its so weird
Peggy talkin some nonsense
He became his hero, a cornball
it’ll be an album I’ll prolly revisit down the line but to me the writing varies from peak to nonsense. Beats were consistently interesting but not necessarily engaging. I understand it’s about a member of injury reserves death and processing that plus writing it out isn’t an easy thing however.
Peak of rage. I have replayed and returned to this album more than I have ever have in one time then with any other album. His flows, the beats, versatility, transitions.. it’s all perfection.
maybe my favorite country album from a writing perspective, was very passionate.
a little better then I gave it credit for originally, still only a few highlights (trap jump, off the meter, black rockstar, that switch is nasty
