Yes.

70 minutes is too long and whilst the pair can set a nice atmosphere and an interesting groove the album length exposes their inability to show meaningful development beyond adding another layer that adds a new sound colour but not more.

BoC are clearly excellent with production and sampling but many of these tracks need a melody and harmonic surprises. I wonder if the come back will be that I dont like ambient but this is very intrusive to be ambient.

Two good singles, one of which has stood the test of time. The rest is taken directly from the indie playbook which had been established by 2004 in both the US and the UK.

Some tracks are generational which is impressive for a debut but the formula isn't perfected yet.
