The Voidz - Męğż Øf Råm

This could've been really good, instead this is basically just the "I'll f*cking do it again" meme.
It's unfortunate because I can constantly hear how good the songs could've been had they chosen not to go down the autotune path again. I hoped that they'd move back towards more natural singing after "Like All Before You", but those hopes were unfortunately misplaced.

What a frustrating album.
I really like the instrumentation on some of the songs but the autotune just ruins for me. '7 Horses' kinda grew on me. Aside from that, every song is a skip aside from some standout moments, though even those don't manage to save any of the songs. How unfortunate, I still had hope for this album.
Hope they'll learn to make better use of the autotune in the future, if at all.

I thought I had already listened to Peng's discography but I somehow missed this.
The most impressive aspect of this album how unique and recognizable Peng's music is. His voice, flow and approach to songs is very unique, especially considering that this seems to be his first project.
That being said, I didn't enjoy this album. Regarding the lyrics, it's unclear what he intends to be taken serious and what is just a joke / philosophical nonesense. While this is clearly on ... read more
